Which one wins?
I was playing my brother's Tau and a unit of his Fire Warriors had Photon Grenades (or something that sounded like that). He said the grenades took away any special bonus I get by charging into close combat.
My Blood Angels, like all the rest, have Furious Charge which grants them +1 strength and +1 initiative on the turn they charge into close combat.
My question is, which one presides over the other? Do the Tau Photon Grenades cancel out the Blood Angels special rule of Furious Charge?
-thanks in advance-

I don't know :tongue:Originally Posted by SilverMane2
haha, we've only played a total of, maybe, ten games so far. So we're pretty new on the rules. This is just one that I've been letting him get away with...meaning, I just attack with my normal stats (S4, I4 & 2A [CCW&BP]) instead of S5, I5.
So if you could give me a definite answer like "Photon Grenades don't apply to Furious Charge special rule" or something like that, it would be great
I don't have the rulebook with me now, but I'll check later and come back if I have any questions about it. But thanks.
Coming from a Blood Angels player myself I have run into this argument a lot. Photon grenades only deny the chargers the plus 1 attack when charging. You will still get the plus 1 to strength bonus making you wound them on 2's. So you ten man marine squads charges firwarriors with photon, you will get 10 attacks(assuming the all have bolter, or no CCW) instead of getting 20 for charging, but they still hit at srength 5.
yea. Furious charge is still a charge, and photon grenades cancel out the effect of the CHARGE. you still get your +1 strength and +1 initiave (bad speller) so your brother is a wee bit mistaken. just dont beat him up in front of your mom cuz then youll get in trouble. Cheers!!
Seriously, if you're an obese idiot who plays 40K every day, doesn't have anything else to do, and gets pissed at newbies, go @$%^ yourself, and jump off a tall building. Thanks.
