What size board do you use for your battles? Is there a "regulation" size that should be used. I have seen 4x4, 4x6, and 4x8 used so I was just curious if there is an official size board for games. Thanks for your help.
we built modular battleboards for our wargaming needs. it is chipboard cut into 2x2 squares and about 2cms thick. depending on the points value depends on the size of board we use. generally a 4x4 board will suffice for 500-1000pts (even 2x4 for intense 500 pts battles) but a 4x6 board is used at 1000-2000pts, it means that you cant run away from combat but gives you enough room to tactically move around (plus it fits on my dining room table ).
Don't touch that please, your primitive intellect wouldn't understand things with alloys and compositions and things with... molecular structures.
Most tournament standard boards are 4X6.
4X4 for 1000 pts and below
4X6 for up to 2000 pts
4X8 for above 2000 pts

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
