The debate on drop pods has spakes this question, do spore mines cause TP checks to be made?
1. Sporemines have a full stat line.
2. Sporemines may be shot at, as if a regular unit.
3. Sporemines move and therefore would be a threat to units nearby. (Sarge "Shoot the Fex" Squadie "Bugger that, this big blob of acid is WAY closer".)
1. It would be way rorted to make low Ld armys make TP checks with free units.
2. Its just generally a rort.
I did do a search on this but found no joy. (All the way back to 2004).

They would since there is no exception granted to them. Unless the rules say you can ignore them, you can't.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
I wouldn't see how the Spore Mines would be any exception to normal target priority tests.

I tell ya, it's all about bioacid and black templar! Shoot them, they move closer to the nearest enemy (the bioacid mine). Then charge. Pop! bunch of dead marines=) hahahha.
This is the only use I currently have for biovores. Forcing target priorities is a great way to allow my warriors to get closer to and the chance to chew on the enemies head.
16,000+ of Eldar (only need flyers)
7,000+ of Nids (want heirophant)
6,000+ of Space Marines (need rever titan)
4,400+ of Cygnar (all models for the faction)
1,500+ of Legion (just started)
Of couse you have to make TP test. Spore Mines is some kind og unit after all. You can get them as fast attacks or you can have them through your biovores.
Just to repeat it once more. YES spore mines do causes TP to be made if your not going to shoot them before you kill anything else.
