I have a question on FAQs.
Are these official rules? Are they equivalent to codex and rulebook? Do they superseed the rulebooks and codexes?
Obviously sometimes they are messed up (like the Tyranidwarriors one when they could be instant killed by Lascannons for a week). And the Manager at my local GW told me once "I can't believe youa re still reading that ****." when I talked to him about the latest messed up FAQ. I mean who writes those FAQs anyway?
Don't get me wrong, this post is not intended as trolling. I just get the impression that some random guy somewhere in the GW hierarchy comes up with random stuff or he gets pissed off at some army after playing a game (like the guy who had the problems with the nid warriors) and then writes up a sheet that gets the official lay out and that's it.
I know that here on LO the FAQs are the end-all. But how would you handle disputes in tournaments? How official are the FAQs?
Shut up and play.
Any FAQ for the latest codex printing is official... Before the new Nid FAQ came out, they had one up there for the 3rd ed codex. Obviously that one wasn't, but the new one is official and tournaments will view it that way.
I agree with Moob.
They're quite official, ignorance is no bliss.
aaaah *reminiscess to the 1 week of daemonic strength on a aspiring champion with a fist being usefull*

They must be from teh GW website as a FAQ or Update for rules. Anything else (like a FAQ on the GW forums) doesn't count.
Rules corruptions are simply that, corruptions, they neither deserve to be part of a logical argument, nor do they deserve to be considered as fact for deciding the governing rules of this game.
As usual, most "gw staff" or red shirts or store owners may not be aware of the rules. As stated here by everyon, the FAQs that are in PDF format on GW's errata list are considered the most current publishing, thus they supercede the other rules in print.
All rules should be regarded in the context of when they were writen. Newest printed is what you go by.
Thus rulebook (bgb) overrules all third edition codex. Fourth edition codex overrule the bgb, and faqs overrule both.
If someone chooses to play contrary to this, then they aren't following the rules. And good luck to ya then. BTW, I'm under the impression that GW has insisted on frontal labodamies for all rules writers since second edition, but I haven't the photo evidence to prove this. Much like the BGB FAQ that states models on area terrain become the size of it (thus a size 3 ceature on size 1 AT becomes size 1=)
16,000+ of Eldar (only need flyers)
7,000+ of Nids (want heirophant)
6,000+ of Space Marines (need rever titan)
4,400+ of Cygnar (all models for the faction)
1,500+ of Legion (just started)
