ok, lets say I have 5 chosen chaos terminators and they all have combi-meltas. The are right next to a land raider. It is my turn and it comes to the shooting phase. For this unit, am I allowed to resolve each shot one by one until i kill the raider as a means of conserving my precious melta shots, or do I have to declare the number of models using the melta shot and then roll for all at once?
Yep, Lost Nemesis is right. You'd have to declare that say 2 of your guys were firing with the meltas and the other five were with the bolters at the start of the shooting phase.
But I call to God, and the LORD saves me.
ok, thats kindof what i thought but i couldnt find any definitive evidence. thanks bros.
BGB p 22, under Rolling dice to hit.
You can declare to shoot with none, some, or all your models in the unit, but all dice must be thrown together (or by extension declare what all is shooting with what, then roll seperately, but either why you may end wasting your extra meltas). All shooting is simultaneous, even if the dice from a single unit are thrown seperately (some people don't have multiple colors of dice, so you can't throw the assault cannon and storm bolters at the same time=)..
Hope that helps, as it is a page ref. And as yes, the others above have it right.
16,000+ of Eldar (only need flyers)
7,000+ of Nids (want heirophant)
6,000+ of Space Marines (need rever titan)
4,400+ of Cygnar (all models for the faction)
1,500+ of Legion (just started)
yes, thankyou very much.
