Barricades Strategum in Cities of Death I think it's potentially useful in Cities, but I want to understand it better. 1) I suppose it's a wall that you can freely shoot through (with no penalty) and be shot through it (at 4+ cover) if you're lined up against it? 2) Can enemy squads who are on opposite sides, (but neither in contact with the wall) see each other? Or Is it just treated as a narrow strip of area terrain that you can't enter? (meaning- nobody can shoot past it unless they are taller) 3) I tend to think that it can be seen only though if a squad is in base contact with it. (?) 4) I imagine Barricades are probably size 2, so Tanks, Vehicles, Dreds, Monsters, and units on a second floor or higher can see over a barricade. (?) 5) If two enemy squads are on opposite sides of the Barricade, and are in contact with it, I suppose they each have a 4+ cover save if shooting at each other ? 6) what if only 3 out of 10 models are in contact with the Barricade? What if it's 5 out of 10?

Well first up you can freely shoot through it reardless of position, as it is not area terrain, and you gain the cover save if within 2 inches of the opposite side from the shooting, e.g. if the enemy is in front of the barricade, and you are within 2" of the back or vice versa... As previously stated, barricades do not obstruct line of sight in any way, i beleive that they are difficult terrain for crossing though. If two squads are within 2" of opposite sides of the barriccade then they would indeed get cover saves from each others fire, though i would think this would be rather rare. If the entire squad is not within 2" of the appropriate side, the use the majority armour rule. So if more than half the squad is behind the wall you would get the save, overwise you would not. Another thing to remember is that the walls can be destroyed by preliminary bombardments, and that they also count as cover when an enemy assaults from the other side of it, (hence you stike first when behind a barricade)... Hope this cleared that up!
