how does it work,
is it move assaulting units up to 6" so they are in base to base or at least 2" away from enemy and then after the assault fall back and advances are made and thats it
after fall back and advances are done if the opposing units are still within 2" of eachother does cc continue until fall back and advances end up with the opposing units too far apart to cc with eachother
if fall back and advances occur and assaulting unit advances and comes into base to base contact or within 2" of another enemy unit (say pariahs advanced on fleeing space marines and ended up in base to base or 2" with a dreadnought) is there more cc

Tau: I'm about to find out.
Im not sure if I quite understand the questian but Ill give it my best shot.
When assaulting you move your 6/12 inches to get as many as you possibly can into BTB. After the assault phase, you take any required lds tests that may result in falling back, if after assault enemys are still with in 2 inches, even though not nessarly in btb (i.e. Nightbringer killing all models in btb with him, but still having more models near by from the same unit(s) that was in cc with him) there is conserded to still be an assault, and who ever won is required to move as many of his models as he can into btb. If while falling back or advancing your within 2 inches you havn't started a new assault unless you do manage to get into BTB, then there is a new assault. Hope I answered all your quesitans
Keep in mind that only one round of assault can be fought by each unit per turn. A lot of people go combat by combat, but what you are really supposed to do is:
1. Make all assault moves on the table.
2. Fight all close combats
3. Check Ld and make fall back and advance moves.
