I know you can noot shoot into a close combat when ordinary units are involved. Can you shoot at a C'tan that is in close combat with a squad of Trukk Boys?
short answer..... no, you can't shoot into a combat:ninja:

UNLESS YOU USE MY CUSTOM-MADE RULES!!!! (My home-made Friendly Fire rules)
Sorry about the useless spam...
I play my 40k with friendly fire.
Finally fixed the link!
No, the rules for shooting into, or through a CC are absolute. They have no conditional modifiers. While it makes sense logically that you can target a 20 foot tall creature that is surrounded by 6 foot tall creatures, the rules do not allow for such logical thinking. Sorry.

They should ammend that rule to allow you to shoot into combat if your own guys can not be hurt. I know combat is a swirling melee but sometimes it makes sense. Such as a combat with a waithlord. Shooting str 4 weapons into that combat should be allowed by the eldar side as there is absolutely no chance to hurt your own guys. But Alas, it is not the case.
