If I'm attacking with a Callidus Assassin's neural shredder, what leadership value do I use when rolling to wound shield drones attached to Broadsides? It says N/A, but gun drones get a Ld stat when independent... what about shield drones and gun drones that are attached to a unit?
P.S. - I searched for this (really).
It's not surprising that you're having trouble with it. It's a really tough question. Attached drones aren't the same as the fast attack unit because of their statline. The two options are:
A. Drones cannot be hurt due to not having a leadership score.
B. You roll using their controllers LD as that's what is used when they need to make checks and such.
edit- forgot option C, the drones auto-fail due to having no score.
I'd be more inclined to go with explanation B as otherwise they're completely invulnerable to it (it seems like the most balanced way of doing it), but there's been a lot of debate on this.
edit- Here's a thread on it- http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...eural+shredder

Ask yourself why in the world would you trust a win loss record? Playing them yourself is the only way to tell.
The true joy in the game is playing down to the last model, no matter the odds.
Thanks for the advice and the link. I don't know how I didn't find that thread...
Option B sounds the most fair (and sensible), but looking over the linked thread I think the rules agree that the neural shredder's strength is N/A versus drones. I'll put it up to vote and make a house rule, I suppose.
i'm going with option A
the shield drone does not have a Ld value.
therefore there is nothing for the weapon to act against.
