So I have a question about bikers weapons. The book says the bike is equiped with tl bolters. It then stats that up to 2 "bikers" can be equiped with the special weapons.
What I want to know is, can you choose to shoot the special or the TL bolter? Or do you have to shoot the special if the biker has it?
It would make a difference to me what special I got if I can choose which one to shoot. If I can choose each turn, then I go with meltas, in case of vehicles. In case I'm shooting at infantry though, I use the TL bolters for the range and rerolls.
Of course you can choose. When a model has one or more weapons, it can choose which one to use.

At the risk of confusing the situation, I feel there should be a small clarification.
If a Loyalist Space Marine Biker purchases an upgraded weapon, he retains the TL Bolter on the bike and may pick and choose which to fire.
In the case of a Chaos Space Marine Biker, you replace the TL Bolters with the upgraded weapon, so lose the option to pick which to fire.
I realize you were interested in Loyalist rulings, but just wanted to clarify that for any Chaos players who might not have realized the differences.

OK thanks guys, what I figured, just wanted to make sure.
In regards to chaos bikers, there is one other difference. The rider can carry a bolt pistol, which can be fired instead of the bike weapon. Not sure it would ever be an advantage though.
