I've not played Librarians much, and last night in my friendly game against Necrons this came up. My opponents assaulted my Librarian with Scarabs. Each Scarab base has more than one wound. Now the question is if I inflict 5 wounds (of which none are saved) and pass my psychic test to activate the Force Weapon, how many bases do I remove?
a) 1 base - All my attacks are converted into removing one model via Force Weapon effect and all other wounds are lost.
b) 5 bases - Each unsaved wound kills a single base outright.
c) 2 bases + 1 wound - 1 base removed by the force weapon effect leaving 4 wounds to allocate, which removes 1 base and inflicts 1 wound on a third base.
d) 2 bases + 2 wounds - The force weapon effect removes one base and the 5 wounds are then distributed among the squad removing an additional base plus inflicting 2 wounds.
e) 5 bases - The same as b except I should have made 5 psychic tests
f) None of the above.
For reference, Force Weapons are described on page 46 of the BGB.
I hope the question makes sense.
