Me and a friend are about to have a game and i think that you have to start with atleast one model on the board with a deep strike army am i right or wrong?
It doesn't think, it doesn't feel,
It doesn't laugh or cry.
All it does, from dusk 'till dawn,
Is make the soldiers die.
Commander Cyrus's Black Legion. W1/D0/L1
There's nothing in the rules that I'm aware of that states that you have to have at least one model on the table. So, the deep striker's opponent will get one free turn of movement (at least).
Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.
If you're intruiged by doctors who are also ninjas, then this is the webcomic for you!
From what I know, you dont have to start off with models on the board. I played a game against a marine drop pod list and I got two turns of unmolested movement to set up my Eldar before he brought in his pods because he failed to bring in any in the second turn.
The game was pretty brutal for him because each time a drop pod came in I was ready for it and whittled down the contents of each before he could get them to safety. He was able to get some shots off with his surviving troops before they died but it was mainly a one sided battle because he didnt have anything on the board that prevented me from taking some of the ideal positions.
Correct. There is nothing in the rules that says or implies that you must have a model on the board, or that if you don't you lose.
16,000+ of Eldar (only need flyers)
7,000+ of Nids (want heirophant)
6,000+ of Space Marines (need rever titan)
4,400+ of Cygnar (all models for the faction)
1,500+ of Legion (just started)
A few tournaments use this as a house rule, but it is not part of the core rules produced by GW.
(None of my army starts on the table in escalation :yes
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
