Hey, me and all my buddies like to play a lot, but come up with a lot of questions in the meantime. Thought I'd post a few so I could clear things up. If something I'm asking for turns out to be copywrited information, I'm sorry and it'd help to just have the page number in a rulebook.

1. Can infiltrating units be mounted in a troop carrier and move the full distance of the vehicle for their infiltrator's move?

2. How far can skimmers move? I can't for the life of me find it anywhere in the rulebook. And if it's the same as regular vehicles, then is the only benefit being able to skip terrain with the downside of crashing when immobalized?

3. The rulebook says that one of the three requirments for a squad to regroup after it has fallen back is that it must be above 50% strength. Does this mean that when a squad has been brought to half strength it must immediately start falling back without a chance to regroup at all? If this is so how does the "all on your own" rule work, since the one man squad would definitely be under half strength?

As far as i know infiltrators cannot be mounted. Skimmers I believe move up to 24" but after 12" can only fire one weapon, but I am probably wrong. Check with someone else on that to make sure. It's in the BBB I now but don't have it on hand for the page. The squad doesn't have to fall back unless it fails a morale test. So therefore if the squad is under half and still wins combat it doesn't have to worry about it. They do not have to fall back JUST because they are under 50%. As far as on your own, I can't remember how that works.

If a squad got decimated in shooting and failed their leadership roll they would start falling back, right? So if that happens and they're less than half strength the unit cannot be saved?

well, yes. if they fall back and are under half strangth, they will fall back untill they flee the battlefield. but you can always help them by moving your HQ closer so the can test with the HQ's ld or somthing...

1. Can infiltrating units be mounted in a troop carrier and move the full distance of the vehicle for their infiltrator's move?
No, according to rulebook clarifications units with a transport vehicle may not infiltrate

2. How far can skimmers move? I can't for the life of me find it anywhere in the rulebook. And if it's the same as regular vehicles, then is the only benefit being able to skip terrain with the downside of crashing when immobalized?
The 'skimmer' characteristic has no effect on the movement distance of a vehicle, it just enables that vehicle to ignore terrain and some other special rules. It's the 'fast' characteristic that enables your vehicles to move a longer distance, and to fire more weapons on the move. Most skimmers are fast vehicles, but not all of them (e.g. tau skimmers).

No, this does not make them fall back automatically, it just means that they won't be able to regroup anymore once they have been forced to fall back by something else. They will run off the table then.

The 'all on your own' rule only applies to models who were originally in a squad containing multiple models, but has been reduced to one due to casualties and such. If a unit had a single model in it from the start of the game (Wraithlords, Tau Battlesuits, HQ characters, etc), then the rule does not apply.

Unless they have some rule that allows them to regroup with less than 50% strength, they never get any chance to regroup once broken.

I thought if your normal fall-back path leads you into cover, you get one more chance to regroup.
