So when i was playing necrons yesterday night we had a dilemma about my tanks armor. The question was if the enemy army has no Units left that can succesfully damage the tanks armor does the army with the tank automatically win because non of the enemy have high enough D6+str to kill the tank?
one more question. If the enemy of necrons kill a model with the "we will be back" rule are they allowed to attack it again even though it is realistically dead, who would kill someone after they already died. If so you would that allow the necron army to roll the "we will be back" rule twice?
well thanks for reading i hope it makes sense. I am already confused
No, there's still scenario's and objectieves to go for, the tank will make it harder for him but he can still pull a win if he get's the objectieve.
Necron models that are down and waiting for their WBB count as debris can't be atatcked in any way, they don't lock you in combat you basicly ignore them.
Further on point one, if he was playing Necrons, I don't think there's any way for him to not have something that can kill any tank in the game, what with the Gauss weapon rules. But yeah, Dreachon nailed it.

No, unkillable tank does not equal auto win. There are only a few tanks out there that are powerful enough to really just wipe out the oposing side. Things for the side against the tank, without the ability to kill it surely becomes difficult, because now that tank is uncontested. The person can literally put it out wherever they want and do as much damage as possible without fear of losing that tank. Now, if you were playing solely for the purpose of "destroying eachother" than yes, the person with the now invulnerable tank will eventually win. BUT most games revolve around missions and objectives, Even "cleanse" which is about controlling table quarters, and a finite number of turns, barring machine spirit that tank can shoot at ONE unit per turn.
For WBB rolls. you can't "attack" an already down unit, but what you CAN do, is when its your turn, do your best to kill off other necrons in its vacinity so it can't meet the criteria for the WBB when its time to make those rolls.

WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
actually the match was a to the death match and he actually didn't have any weapons left to kill me. I had a predator with a mutated hull which gave the tank +1 armor to al sides which is 13. he had nothing left that was str 7+.
Yeah, if he had a single necron warrior yet (basically if he hadn't phased out yet) he can damage your tank, heck he could damage a landraider.

Yes the guass rule makes the necrons the best army to fight armor. All he has to do is shoot you with a lot of shots and anything that hits you on a roll of 6 its turned into a glancing hit no mater what the armor rating is for your tank. Then from each shot on a 6 you take that many glancing hits on the chart.

Unless this happened prior to new chaos dex, it's illegal. Mutated Hull doesn't exist anymore.actually the match was a to the death match and he actually didn't have any weapons left to kill me.
