I was playing my brother who had in a Brood Lord and a Genestealer left in the same squad. Since there is no majority initiative the rules state that the lower is taken. He argues that because the Brood Lord has 3 wounds it is the majority leader, but I believe wounds are only used to determine whether he outnumbers someone in an assault. He wants to chase after my unit that is falling back with I8 instead of the Genestealer's I6.
Can you give me any insight?
You'd take it at I6. You don't take it at I8 because models with multiple wounds only count as multiple models for the purposes of outnumbering (pg 4 not for initiative (pg 43, which does not include the same sort of proviso).
So while a broodlord counts as 3 models for outnumbering, he still only counts as one model when it comes to determining the initiative you use for sweeping advance.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
