    two handed weapons on a reaver

    people have told me that you can use 2 handed weapons on bikes ...but NOT reavers...I read in a wh17e dwa8f that a guy was saying in an article about his dark eldar...I love punishers now that 2 handed weapons on bikes are legal! if this is untrue how could it have gotten past editing? was it a mistake? Im confused{goofy}

    Yeah, we've been through this a lot of times. The guy was wrong, he had an illegal army list and judging by the tactics he had basically no idea what he was doing anyway. As per the codex (which still hasn't been contradicted by any rules) when using a reaver you can only have a single 1 handed weapon, but you can still use a tormentor helm to get yourself an extra attack. It would have gotten past editing because the editors would have no idea about dark eldar either, as far as I'm aware, they don't have a single good experienced dark eldar player up in GW HQ. I wish they'd let ollieb play in a WD battle report and give us a good name instead of having us lose every time.

    Hi,
    yes it was a mistake and you can only have one handed weapons on a Reaver as you need at least one hand to drive the bike.
    Cheers.

    Well, every other bike in the universe can be driven with the knees for some as-yet-unexplained reason. And Autarchs can carry reaper launchers in one hand and a laser lance in the other whilst riding their jetbike!

    Dark Eldar really do need some lovin'.

    Was the bike rule changed within the BGB?
    I've heard it thrown around a few times that all bikes can now use two handed weapons.

    The general rules don't disallow it, but certain codices (Chaos, DE) do.

    Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.

    Yep,
    page 14 Dark Eldar Codex under the entry for Reaver Jetbike, second last sentence.
    Cheers.

    str. 6/7(animus) DE character on a bike with 6 attacks on the charge. They would re-roll misses, wound on 2's with no save... you can say goodbye to any squad that hits, and unlike an autarch it doesn't stop at the charge!
    Caps-Lock, its like cruise-control for AWESOMENESS!
