Here's three Apocalypse Datasheets I've desgined for my upcoming campaign, for Chaos Daemons. They use some of the new Strategic Assets from Apocalypse Reload.

Swathe of Pestilence: 250 points + models

The Swathe of Pestilence consists of the following units:

• 1 Epidemius, the Tallyman of Nurgle
• 1 Scabeiathrax the Bloated or Ku’Gath or a Great Unclean One
• 0-2 Heralds of Nurgle
• 0-2 Daemon Princes with the Mark of Nurgle (using the Codex Daemons rules, not the Chaos S.M. Codex rules)
• 1+ Units of Beasts of Nurgle (minimum of 3 Beasts per unit)
• 3+ Units of Plaguebearers of Nurgle (exactly 7 per unit, no more, no less)
• 1+ Units of Nurglings (minimum of 3 Nurgling bases per unit)

If Scabeiathrax the Bloated or Ku’Gath are fielded, then a Great Unclean One can be fielded as well.

The total number of models in the Swathe of Pestilence must add up to at least 35, and be a multiple of 7, i.e. 35, 42, 49, 56, 63 etc. Once the Swathe of Pestilence has entered the game, this total number is irrelevant, i.e. your opponent can not say, “oh look, you only have 32 models now, so the Swathe of Pestilence is no longer a formation”.

All of the units in this formation count as two units when dividing your Daemonic forces into two groups for the purposes of Daemonic Assault.

If Scabeiathrax the Bloated is fielded, he is considered to be a Deamon from Codex Daemons, and he uses all his Special Rules from page 98 of Forgeworld Apocalypse, except for the following: he no longer has the Special Rule Possession. Instead he enters play from Deep Strike bringing him in line with all the other Daemons from the Daemonic Codex.

When the Swathe of Pestilence enters play, choose one of Scabeiathrax the Bloated, Ku’Gath, a Great Unclean One, or Epidemius, the Tallyman. Deep Strike this chosen model first. Then attempt to Deep Strike the rest of the Swathe’s HQ choices within 6” of the first Deep Striker.

After that, all remaining units in the Swathe of Pestilence attempt to enter play so that one of their models is within 6” of Scabeiathrax the Bloated, Ku’Gath, a Great Unclean One, Epidemius, the Tallyman of Nurgle, or a Herald of Nurgle.

If any unit of the Swathe of Pestilence Deep Strikes so that some or all of the unit will land directly on top of other models from the Swathe, move all models concerned by the minimum, so that they will not be on top of each other. This means that you will not need to use the ‘Deep Strike Mishap Table’ for Swathe units Deep Striking into each other.

The formation has the following Strategic Assets:

• Plaguestorm (only useable by members of the formation. Note that Scabeiathtrax the Bloated and Ku’Gath are Great Unclean Ones too)

• Major Possession: Scabeiathtrax the Bloated or Ku’Gath can enter play using Major Possession. In which case they count as the first Deep Striker for purposes of the rest of the formation deploying from Deep Strike. This means that Scabeiathtrax the Bloated or Ku’Gath would Possess an Independent Character, and then the rest of the formation would enter play by Deep Strike using Scabeiathtrax the Bloated or Ku’Gath as their reference point.

The Eye of Tzeentch: 250 points + models

The Eye of Tzeentch consists of:

• 1 Fateweaver, Oracle of Tzeentch or a Lord of Change
• 0-2 Daemon Princes of Tzeentch with Daemonic Flight
• 0-2 Heralds of Tzeentch on Chariots or Discs
• 2-3 Units of Flamers of Tzeentch
• 1-3 Units of Screamers of Tzeentch

The total number of models in The Eye of Tzeentch must add up to at least 18, and be a multiple of 9, i.e. 18, 27, 36 etc. Once the Swathe of Pestilence has entered the game, this total number is irrelevant, i.e. your opponent can not say, “oh look, you only have 12 models now, so The Eye of Tzeentch is no longer a formation”.

All of the units in this formation count as one unit when dividing your Daemonic forces into two groups for the purposes of Daemonic Assault.

For this Daemons in this formation, Fateweaver counts as a Chaos Icon

When the The Eye of Tzeentch enters play, Deep Strike Fateweaver, Oracle of Tzeentch or the Lord of Change first. Then attempt to Deep Strike the rest of the Swathe’s HQ choices within 6” of the first Deep Striker. After that, all remaining units in the The Eye of Tzeentch attempt to enter play so that one of their models is within 6” of the formation’s HQ choices.

The formation has the following Strategic Assets:

• Mirage of Tzeentch: only useable by Daemons in this Eye of Tzeentch

• Vortex Grenade: This represents a maelstrom of Chaos, and is true uncontrolled raw Warp energy, summoned by Fateweaver or the Lord of Change, and only they can be ‘equipped’ with it. This Vortex can not hurt Fateweaver, but affects the rest of the formation as normal.

The Children of the Forge: 25 points + models

The Children of the Forge are Soul Grinders that have given their allegiance to one of the gods of Chaos.

The Children of the Forge consists of 3+ Soul Grinders.

All the Children of the Forge Soul Grinders must choose a Mark of Chaos, though they can each choose a different Mark.

Blood Grinder - The Mark of Khorne costs 10 points, and gives the Soul Grinder +1A. Soul Grinders with the Mark of Khorne, can purchase any or all of the following Gifts:

• Blessing of the Blood God: +5 points
• Instrument of Chaos: +5 points
• Breath of Chaos, counting as a Defensive weapon: +30 points

Blood Grinders are often crazed, frenzied things, only sated by the screams of the dying and the washes of blood splattered across the landscape. Any Blood Grinder can replace its Mawcannon with an extra Harvester , WS4 and an additional +1A.

Pox Grinder - The Mark of Nurgle costs 10 points, and gives the Soul Grinder Aura of Decay. Soul Grinders with the Mark of Nurgle, can purchase any or all of the following Gifts:

• Breath of Chaos, counting as a Defensive weapon: +30 points
• Cloud of Flies: +5 points
• Noxious Touch, the Soul Grinders’s Dreadnaught close combat weapons are infected with Nurgle’s decay: +15 points

Soul Corrupter - The Mark of Slaanesh costs 5 points, and gives the Soul Grinder +1I. Soul Grinders with the Mark of Slaanesh, can purchase any or all of the following Gifts:

• Breath of Chaos, counting as a Defensive weapon: +30 points
• Aura of Acquiescence: +5 points
• Transfixing Gaze: +10points

Warp Grinder - The Mark of Tzeentch costs 10 points, and gives the Soul Grinder a permanent 6+ Cover Save. Soul Grinders with the Mark of Tzeentch, can purchase any or all of the following Gifts:

• Instrument of Chaos: +5 points
• Breath of Chaos, counting as a Defensive weapon: +30 points
• We are Legion: +5 points

When The Children of the Forge enter play, pick one of its vehicles and Deep Strike it. This first vehicle must attempt to Deep Strike within 12” of a Daemonic HQ which worships the same Chaos God as it, or within 12” of a Chaos Space Marine HQ choice which has a Mark or Icon as it. If there is no such HQ model on the table, this vehicle can Deep Strike as normal, but if Scatter occurs, it is 3D6”. If there is an appropriate HQ, if Scatter occurs, it is only 1D6”. The rest of The Children of the Forge then Deep Strike within 9” of the first vehicle from the formation.

Note that for Chaos Space Marine HQ choices, if they have Personal Icons, they count as Chaos Icons for The Children of the Forge.

As ever, I'd appreciate comment and criticism.
