I'd like to run pairs tournament in my club.
I'm new to tournament organizing in 40K so I'd like to hear all advices and opinions on rules, organization and winning point system.
Size will be 1000 points from 1 player - 2000 from one side.
Ok if it's a 1 day tourney here's my advice:
-1pt for a loss, 4 for a tie, 8 for a win
-each round the other player scores the other team,
--1-5 for look of army #1s models (painting and modelling)
--1-5 for look of army #2s models (painting and modelling)
--1-5 for sportsmanship and how enjoyable the game was
Average out the points gained from the other players voting for each category and add the points from the games.
EX: I get 2 draws, a win, and a loss. 12 points so far.
People voted that my army's look of the models was a 3, a 4, and another 3. So I get 3.3 more points. 15.3 points so far.
My partner's list gets a 4, and 2 5's for look of the models so that's 4.7 points. Total 20 points.
Now our opponents voted out games for 4, 4, 6, and another 6 for how enjoyable they were and how good sportsmans we were. So that's another 5 points. Total 25 points.
Hope that helps.
