I'm still adding to the 12000pts of IW I have, got myself this week a nice chaos reaver and a second chaos warhound. Time to make a push for the 20000 pts.

I've got a 10K Eldar Army with 4 Apoc units (Rev titan, Cobra, Nightwing and Void dragon). I'm also working on a Ork apoc army (about 6K) and have a Stompa, Skullhammer and KillKrusha. I really want to get another Nightwing and Rev titan for the Eldar army, but I'd rather focus elsewhere at the moment - although I am desperate for a Phantom titan but they are pretty rare. I've only played 3 apoc games, but I just really enjoy these big superheavies, they are a great challenge to build and paint and are really cool to have as a centre piece of an army.

I have around 15k of necrons, including 3 pylons maybe 25k or so of Chaos, mostly nurgle (chaos demons/CSM/ little bit of renegade guard). 3 Warhounds, 1 Reaver, 4 Baneblades, the named GUO, working on a chaos thunderhawk. Also have around 200 zombies that are fun to use for a destroyer plague formation.

Mmm Biotitan - that's one model that makes me want to play nids - Looks painful to build though - knowing how fraglie those lesge must be. The stats look awesome as well - 16 S10 shots is potentially more lethal than a destroyer hit

It is scratch built and really sturdy, you can see it here: The Tyranid Hive - scratch building a hierophant - torso done! I would not recommend to build one. I at least invested very very much time and in the end it took too long. I do not want to know how many smaller projects could have been finished! But, when you have NO money and MUCH time, go for it. Costs: 30 €. Here is a thread that describes how to make the AMAZING ORIGINAL FW UBER HIEROPHANT (sorry;-)) a little tougher (modelwise, statline is ok of course ...:-D) The Tyranid Hive - Heirophant assembly guide - links fixed. So I say Nids are the best army of my 4 so far (Marines, Chaos, Daemons). The new dex should finally make you start! Last edited by Lord Eltor; November 8th, 2009 at 18:00. |
