How about just the point limit for each list?

oh, and can we have a point slush, that is, perhaps up to a 50 point give and take between lists.

Example: 3000 point total

list A) 1550

list 1450

Peace

I really don't think it's needed. If we know who has the choice, the voters will decide what the intelligent choice is in the situation, and, in a way, make the choice for the list creator. It's part of strategy, and in votewars, the voters generally decide what they think is the wisest decision, strategy-wise. Why not first turn-wise?

That was essentially what I was trying to say.

And some pairing of lists can completely abuse the system if you don't restrict the FO chart. 2000 points with 2x Chaos Lords running around, along with 2x Greater Daemons anyone?

Hmm good point. . . a higher point limit would solve the problem that having 2 small forces with a foc to themselves could cause, but then makes battles perhaps a but larger than what might be easily debated. . .

Or a comprimise?
2 elite, 4 troop, 2 fast attack, 2 heavy support. . . per list
then 3 hq's between the 2 lists. . .
at around 1000 pts that's sufficient FOC for 2 small lists.

Of course I'm not making the rules. . .

Kinda off the current topic, but what is the amount of terrain on the 'board' and what type? Asking because I'm thinking of using my catachans in the team votewar.

Yeah, I was really trying to respond to Caluin, but you were responding to him, along the same lines as I was thinking, so I got lazy:rolleyes:

Actually, I wouldn't be too worried. The combinations between races are what I'm worried about. Canonesses make the squad they join faithful. Won't it be nice when terminators get 2+ invulnerable saves??? And I'm not even saying some of the uglier ones (I'd like to keep some ideas to myself). But seriously, I really think that restricting the force org chart isn't a worry. Lists are going to be scary enough as is.:w00t:

How is that different then 1 chaos lord + 1 greater demon, against a single army.

I think fluff should have a greater impack in team battles then in normal votewar.

Allying with your same type is probably the most fluffy, next would be allying with somewhat which seems resonable for you to ally with, such as marines + IG, or chaos and dark eldar, tau and eldar, ext.

Maybe there would be a small bonus system for lists that are somewhat a fluffy choice to ally with.

Since i doubt any space marine chapters would suffer any orc allance for example, rather the marines would slaugther the orcs, and then who ever they where going to fight.

That's tame Caluin, we all know every Eldar list will take 6 Wraith Lords in 2000 with 2 FoC's.

It does make a differance, having 2 FoC's at 2000 is very differen't and unbalanced for some armies. Otherwise they wouldn't bother with FoC's.

I am looking forward to VW Teams I think Forged's idea is not unreasonable splitting a limited number of points (maybe 5/10%) between the lists ought not to be overpowering.

LOL!

One day you will find the horror of seeing falcons having replaced those wraithlords. Then your cheese screams will suddenly change topic.

I don't particularly like the idea of armies affecting each other to much. Things like teleport homers are fine but a chaplain leads 30 slugga boyz or 32 Hormagaunts into a frenzy it goes slightly to far.
