Necromunda in my opinion is the best GW game ever made. It used to be #2 back in 40k 2nd edition. That was when they both used the same rules system. But once 3rd edition came out, and they changed and screwed up all the rules, Necromunda became my number one fave. However not many people have ever even heard of it. I first got introduced to it when I went to my local gaming store one weekend to play some 40k, and next to our gaming table, these two guys had this huge dioramma of a bombed out rubble filled city. It was so cool! the best gaming table I have seen to this day! So I talked to them and they told me about this great game called Necromunda. Well I decided to play a game with them, and I loved it! Everyone should try it!
What I really loved was the endless possibilites for conversions, because the way I played Necromunda, was what you see is what you get. If your Gang Leader want a power sword and bolt pistol, the model had to show it, or at least have a holster for a pistol. But I have never gotten into converting miniatures like I do with Necromunda.
And one of the best things about Necro, was the cheap startup cost. all you had to do was through down the $22.00 to buy a gang, or however much it was. and also have a copy of the rules. thats probably why GW discoed the game, was because after you spent $30 you never had to spend any more to play the game. And that TOTALLY goes against everything GW stands for now.
May the Light of the Emporer shine on you in death and in life.
