g'day

ill try and answer a few of your questions.

1. id suggest using 2mm thick card for the main structure, 1mm for any "paneling" detail work over the main components, then .07 or 0.5mm for any smaller details, or for anything curved.

2.Poly cement works perfectly

3. Use a metal ruler, a sharp knife and a pacer to mark the plasticard. Score a line, then snap.
To add strength you could always build the structure around lego blocks

4. I buy all mine off Ebay. Search for sheet styrene, i find it alot cheaper than going to a hobby store. Ive also been told sign writers and sign writer suppliers can be a good place for bulk amounts at a good price, but ive never tryd them myself (the biggest thing ive made is a shadowsword and its only taken about (AU)$5 worth of plastic so far.)

5. Not sure, ill let you know when i build mine (next project on my to do list)

another couple of suggestions:

1st, buy yourself lots of different diameter plastic tube that fit inside each other for all the hydraulics and weapon systems.

2nd, goto the WIP forums (s-1-1.-i-n-v-i-s-i-o-n-f-r-e-e.com/Work_In_Progress/) and do a search for warhound, titan and knight, to have a look at some other peoples work for some truly stunning and inspiring works. (sorry youll have to cut and paste the address above then remove all the -. LO never wants to link to WIP)

Hope that helps

Cheers
