I was thinking of doing a really themed wood elf force. I love wild riders, so I want to emphasize on them (some sort of conversion work). And I want a really different paint scheeme from the rest of wood elves (blue, green, brown) etc.
So I was thinking, what kind of conversion can I do thats not to hard, but very fluffy, I was thinking centaurs for wild riders possibly.
And, what a different, and unorthodox color that most people dont use, (red, purple, yellow) that I can apply to my force. I'm leaning towards red maybe, but make it a more burgendy/dark red color. I might post pictures when I'm done with a couple of units.
So, what do you say guys, help me out with some ideas?
no one has ideas =(
Of the three colours you listed, only yellow makes any real sense...red and purple stand out against the foliage. The centaurs aren't a bad idea, though...are there any rules for them anywhere?
And also...yeah, I don't have any ideas.
Great idea though.
I will use the centaurs as wildriders... so the same rules for them. I hope that’s legal and stuff.
I was thinking of putting green stuff to make the torso and horse split to seem more natural, give them a beer belly, and some hair. I was thinking of making the horse a dark red, working my self up to a brighter red, then a mustard dark yellow for the cloth and what not. Then just make the fur, and metal the real colors.
For the fluff, the wild riders inhabited the DEEP parts of the forest, with the tree denizens; the trees gave the wildrider centaurs shape shifting abilities. But the trees eternal hatred for elves inspired trickery in them; they transformed the beautiful elves into ugly centaurs. The wildrider centaurs were filled with rage, so they galloped out the forest seeking people to kill and murder, while consuming massive amounts of alcohol. ;Y
I think a few White Dwarves ago there was an example of a converted centaur. I probably have that, somwhere.
I know this is probly a big favor, but if you have the time to find the article, can you possibly post a picture?
Or maybe examples of wood elf centaurs
thats one of the better conversions they need armour etc or posed better, as they are a little basic, but you get the idea.
theres some with dryad body's and horse legs and a guy did wildrider torsos with spider legs ><
This is purely amazing... thank you maraschino!!!
That is exactly what I'm going for, But the only concern for me is, what paints did he use for the chest/horse.
And how did he sculpt his abs, My centaurs turn out to be a little fat, and kind of morhpy, I might actually post some picks for you guys.
Speeking of which, how do you post picks from my computer (I dont get them off websites or anything, it comes from my camera, and its in my computer folder) Every time I copy and paste it, it just appears blank, and I cant give you guys links, because I didnt get the pictures from websites. If you guys can help me out with atleast one of my questions that would be great!!
Once again thanks marashino, those pictures really helped me!
I saw a guy who just used the normal Wildrider models.
He painted them in such a way that made them look like they were coming out of the mist. He even had very fine, wispy cotton around the base that looked for all the world like smoke.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
I've seen wildriders made from dyrad torsos and horse legs/body.
