After reading the Wood elves book it occured to me. "What if the Queen of the wood elves, Ariel, and the Lady of the Lake are connceted if not the same entity?
That is the point of the fluff in the book. It is suppose to give the extremely strong impression that the Bretonnians are being in a way controlled by the Wood Elves. Though, in true Games Workshop style they refuse to confirm anything.
I guess it wouldn't make all that much difference, would it? Although, it would seem kind of odd that a Wood Elf deity is protecting the Bretonnians.
Guess it's just another case of Elves being tricksy, using humans to do their bidding and to act as some form of ablative shield.
Well, its a good way for having humans protect groves, woods, lakes and whatever outside of athel loren
Elves have a habit of the following; Tell the other races only what they need to know and nothing else.
That and the pic in the back f the bret book (showing the lady of the lake or the fay enchantress) is clearly an elven lady...
Dovie'andi se tovya sagain (It's time to roll the dice)- Mattrim Cauthon
everytime my wood elves play against a brett player and they say they are praying for the blessing or what not, I say we refuse to give it .

I happen to find this connection slightly improbable considerring Brettonia's track record with Athel loren (My daughter is missing? Invade the forest!). Brettonnia has, at many many points in its history engaged in major conflict with Athel loren. If the Lady and ariel were one in the same you would think there would be a holy decree along the lines of "Stop bothering the damn elves already you stink men!"
May the Emperor forgive you, for his servants cannot.
