Oh lawdy, where will it end? The gradual uberness of cavalry

I guess other players have noticed, but in every recent WHFB army book there have been a ridiculously expensive uber cavalry unit, each one progressively getting more badass. First were the Blood Knights in Vampire Counts, then Bloodcrushers in Daemons of Chaos tried to one-up them, then the Cold One Knights in Dark Elves show up, and now Chaos Chosen Knights in the up coming Warriors of Chaos are apparently so good they can pwn everything simply by being on the table.

    Where will it end?

Ranks of Sauras Temple Guard fellas riding about on their own better Cold Ones? Black Orks on armoured war boars? Hordes of Skaven on some kinda giant mutant rats?

I think it'll come to an end when Rhinox cavalry are added to Ogre Kingdoms and trample everyone into the ground

I'm still mourning the loss of WHite Wolf Cavalry. Great weapons just aren't a substitute.

Funny you should mention that. GW actually came very close to doing that, but they decided that the Pegasus Knights were a bad idea, so gave the DPs a more mundane horse.

Come to think of it, I am REALLY looking forwards to the next OK book...

A whole unit of dwarfs all standing on a shield held up by 2 other dwarfs that mysteriously has movement 7 (if anyone asks why just say "runes" and march away before they get suspicious). That will be the doom of all of those other pansies on their beasts.

That's a great idea, except it could be disastrous if it overcomes some really fiendish plans. Like, say, a clothesline at knee height.

Although, a tumbling wave of heavily armoured dwarves with axes would hurt if it fell on you.
