Announcing the Decree of the Campaign of Reclamation of Mousillon of Sir Aunrist of Aquitaine, brother to Duke Armand of Aquitaine, son of Lord Fredemund the Companion and Lord of the Skies.
Aunrist of Aquitaine, being the younger of Lord Fredemund the Companion has decreed that on this day he shall ride to reclaim Mousillon in the name of the King and the Lady, having drunk from the sacred Grail and being given Her blessing. Writs of peaceful passage have been obtained from the noble Duke Alberic of Bordeleaux to garuntee safe passage to the befouled lands of Mousillon. Know that this most of noble of causes is chief among the concerns of our Lord King, and any who ride forth to progress his cause goes with his full blessing and consent. In account of such the good Duke Alberic has promised his own daughter, the Lady Alvery, in marraige to Sir Aquitaine on completion of this honorable and rightful quest. As such Lady Alvery, a learned student of the Imperial Colleges of Magic, shall accompany Sir Aquitaine to see his task completed to the satisfaction of her lord father.
Sir Aquitaine rides bearing his own heraldry of the Grail over red and black quarters, being a reminder of the innocent blood spilled by dark forces, and the cleansing righteousness of the Lady to even the most wicked and foul of foes.
Sir Aquitaine rides from his virtuous brother's castle with a guard of men at arms and house bowmen, bearing the livery of their lord. All good Knights and Nobles of Aquitaine and Bordeleaux are called to lend their swords and join this mighty Blessed host, in the name of our Lady.
May the Lady guide their lances true.
(Aunrist is pronounced with a silent ST, like a mock-French 'Henry')
So yeah, I'm just getting back into WHFB, and Bretonnia is friggin KING for fluffy fluffiness. I've got the 5th edition boxed set, so that's 24 of the old archers that are in a proper uniform. I'll give them the livery colors and use them for 'peasant archers' under the new list (as a maintained troop like M@A) and use the current peasant bowmen models as squires and skirmishers. My list is small (1k) at the moment, but I by making it a mission to Mousillion I have plenty of room to grow, especially with Knights Errant and Questing Knights, and eventually a unit of Grail Knights (once the army is properly large enough to draw their attention, of course!). Who knows what horrible nameless foes will be faced by this noble force in the course of their mission?
If I can find someone locally who's willing to do some campaign stuff, the list might one day include a trebuchet for the inevitable siege scenario (which is of course really just an excuse to buy a few hirst-arts molds and make some bad#!# castles! )
Cheers, just felt like writing it

Ha, nice work! I always like fluff which sets the army up for expansion in the future, that grows as the army does. And I think you've captured the style of a Bretonnian decree rather well.
I'd personally remove the pronunciation guide from the main body though - just stick it in as a note before you get in to the main writing, because it feels a bit jarring as it is.
Thanks for posting!
Good point. Again sorry it was all on the fly, not really planned out. I need to update it already though, I spent three bucks on balsa sticks and made a trebuchet since the inspiration bucket ran dry on my 40k piece. CURSE THIS HOBBY (j/k <3 u WHF
