Heres a rough outline of my as yet unnamed Ogre Tribe:
Basically when the great maw hit, the tribe did'nt follow the rest of the ogres. Instead they wandered around (As we can presume most ogres do, for they are as migratious as one can imagine) Untill they found a small settlement of Gnoblar like creatures (Which were presumably Gnoblars...) on the outskirt of some Swamp. The Ogres noticed a large settlement of thinlings was nearby (I'm Thinking Brettonian as they have tie-ins with Monsters in the marshes and swamps in folklore...And what better monsters than Ogres eh?) Anyway as the ogres and a small entourage of exeptionally brave Gnoblars (Well brave as a Gnoblar can get, which is about as brave as a small male dog that had just been nutered/Been kicked in the balls/Strung up by some cruel ass kid by the balls.) venture in to the swamp they find some giant Monster in a peat bog. Knowing that they themselves could not kill the exeptionally large beastie the ogres start to worship it as a deity (Due to its large appitite it ranks just under the Maw) and start offering sacrifices to it (Ususally Thinlings or Gnoblars) After a bull has survived 20 great feasts (Grat feasts, unlike their smaller feasts, only happen once a year) It is his right of initiation to proceed into the peat bog to collect one of the bowling-ball size pearls the beast lays. As a side effect of this bizarre initiation the ogres skin will be left permantly pitch-black. Due to this initiation few ogres in the tribe survive, but the ones that do are exeptionally Resilliant, and have better night vision than their non-swamp dwelling Ogre Kin. The ogres of the ........ tribe are not as willing to hire thier "Services" To outsiders. Unless of course they can also withstand the Brutal Initiation ceremony. More to come soon....

Wow, that sounds really cool, good luck.

Mine's alot different, they live high up in the mountains, very xenophobic, make extensive use of yhetees, and raid empire convoys alot.

As you can see I need to still work on it :hmm:

Very characterful, Bobby. It certainly would explain the unique paint scheme you have in mind for them too!
The iron crowned is getting closer,
Swings his hammer down on him,
Like a thunderstorm he's crushing,
Down the Noldor's proudest king.

Under my foot, so hopeless it seems.
You've troubled my day, now feel the pain.

Sure, I need to tweak and tinker with it a bit more but I'll post it as soon as i can.

Actually, I'll post what I have so far

Basically, as all Ogre Kingdoms players know, Greasus Goldtooth has basically deleted some of the old ways of the ogres, using more mercenary activity, participating with humans more, and valuing gold much more

My Ogres are very "religious" and view Greasus as an affront to the Maw, they live more primal and brutally oppose his new changes and ruling. To show this, to become an irongut, an ogre must eat a large amount of gold, representing the power of food over gold and wealth, and their devotion to the maw. They brutally oppose more cooperation with the human race and thusly live in the very high peaks of mount mourn, far away from other ogre tribes and humans. Their are very few maneaters, because of their xenophobic nature, and many yhetees, because of their proximity to the beasts. They take a particular liking to raiding empire caravans, that is how they get the majority of any of the few leadbelchers they have. Basically my Ogres are xenophobic, against further cooperation with humans, and value food much more than gold, even compared to other ogres, as such, their ironguts live on a steady diet of gold and silver, representing their will and devotion to the great maw.

That's it so far, criticism welcomed.

Yeah, As soon as the ogres came out (Well After I read the very convincing article in AUWD 301) I knew I wanted to paint my ogres black, just had to think of a reason for it. As soon as I get some damn batteries for the camera I'll post pics of my ogres.
