I'm just wondering if there is room in the old world to fit in a new principality? I would be using empire to represent it. I had the idea of converting the main nation from my D&D campaign setting into warhammer because standerd empire units plus some dogs of war dwarves using warrior models would pritty much represent it prefectly, might have to convert a wizard with some green stuff though.
Of course there is. The Border Baronnetcies (I think that they are Barons) would be the perfect place for any new Empire-based army. The biggest problem is transference analogies for your D&D theology to the Warhammer Pantheon.

That does pose a problem since my D&D pantheon has 3 Goddessess and 9 powerful guardian spirits. I dont think there are any goblin dogs of war models that I could use though but Ogre fit well for the Ogre mercenaries in that area.Originally Posted by Corianis

The pantheon doesn't have to fit exactly, guardian spirits can be minor gods/goddess'. And there are goblin dogs of war, they are based on the mongols, but I can't remember the names right now.
You mean Hobgoblins? They're not part of the DoW army anymore.
On the pantheon, what are the beliefs of the Border Princes (princes, not barons)? I think they're just like the rest of the Old World
If you tell me what the Goddesses and the Guardian Spirits stand for, maybe I can lend a hand.

Each Guardian Spirit is a servant of the Goddess they share a conection with and each have domain over a sacred site. Darkness and Light do not mean evil and good, just ways of going about things, all 3 goddessess are good.
The closest I can come is:
Ranald, God of Thieves and Tricksters or
Tzeentch, the Lord of Change.
definitely Verena, Goddess of Learning and Justice.
The Spirits you'd have to imagine yourself. But that won't be a problem.
Tzeentch is evil, but he fits in your description.
I advise to look on www.criticalhit.co.uk
i think its perfectly feasible to have a Border Prince whose views differ from the Empire in terms of religion etc. they are autonomous states after all. Personally i would use the DoW army list over the Empire one though
