Please check out my skirmish video report on YouTube. Just go to my blog site (in my signature below) and click on the YouTube video window near the bottom of the main post.
Also, while you're there. Please vote on which 3000pt army presents the most formiddable foe.
I will be trying to put up a couple of video reports a week and am open to any requests for skirmishes or small battles that you'd like to see (please leave suggestions on my blog). Please add my blog to your favourites or feel free to link to it from your own site so you can keep up-to-date with my reports.
Thanks and all the best,
Chris (aka Sigmar)
lol, I actually quite enjoyed that
Any ideas on who you'd like to see fighting ? I have Orcs, Lizardmen, Humans, Elves and Dwarfs.
I was thinking about doing a hellblaster volley gun display - I have a lot of exploding cannon wavs
Anyway, I'm pleased as pie, thanks very much.
Thanks very much DavidVC04.
I know what you mean about the dice rolls (especialy the 3 x 6's). I made up my mind before hand that I wouldn't re-roll irrespective of the results even if the video would turn out looking a bit "funny". I reckon it's more fun that way, otherwise it would be like editing a game. All of my video posts will be the same in future too, no meddling with dice rolls so you never do know for sure what will happen.
All the best and thanks once again for the kind comments.
I too enjoyed your video
The favourite part was of course the Knights victory, it feels kind of like a sign to me as I'm going to start a Bretonnian army myself.
I tried to get sound on th evideo though, but it was silent...very silent. It can of course be my gear at home that is somewhat messed up, but Idon't think so. If someone else is having the same problem there may be something you can adjust with the video?
Lovely fight though.
EDIT: Of course it was my stuff that didn't work:/ Sorry...
Thanks very much Andusciassus and good luck with your new Bretonnian Army. I will be interested to hear how it performs on the battlefield.
All the best.
Thats really cool, definitly makes Battle reports more interesting. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on these as you make them.
Maybe GW should make a WD cd with each mag, with something like this on. It would definitely improve their poor excuses for battle reports, though no doubt they would pack it with adverts! (hmm... dont know whats up with me atm, every chance i get to have a stab at GW i seem to take it, ahh well...)
Anyway, you reckon you will be able to work up to a full sized battle report using this style? That would be good to watch.
Hi Deceiver, thanks for the support. I can make a longer skirmish for sure (YouTube allows up to 100meg, I think the last video was about 10 meg (so I reckon I could make a video up to maybe 16 minutes long, or say 20 with reduced quality).
I'm not sure if this could fit a whole battle on it. I'd probably have to do away with some of the dice roll piccies, or speed them up a lot so they just flash up for a moment or 2.
I'll have a bash at another skirmish this week (I'm still getting used to the software - MovieMaker) and when I get better and faster I'll take on a large battle.
I'd love it if GW put videos on cover DVDs but I don't think it would fit in with their money making style these days. Everything seems to be so expensive in the shops. So I share your frustrations with GW.
