Ok i was the mighty empire, it was mjy second game and this orc army was packed with numbers...he out numbered me a bit.
Ork list was something like this:
Orc leader dude ( with a fair amount of wargear)
30 goblin archers
20 orks with choppas
stone throwin thing
20 goblins on bores
something like that.
My list was :
Captain ( full plate armor, warhorse, sheild, sword of might)
20 Hand gunners
Great cannon 100
Hell Blaster Volly Gun 125
we were playing a 650 pt game...i think i am not to sure about al of his units...there seemed to be alot of them... (if any one wants to add it up go ahead)
well any way i had 2 hills on my side and he had one on his side and basically it was eliminate the enemy.
so i sett up my hell blaster on my left hill and my cannon on my right hill.
and my units in the middle. we had 24 inches between each other.
the orks moved forward full pace. he shot his stone thorwer and it missed my hand gunners big time.
so in return i shot my hell blaster and killed 10 of his orks. my cannon there fore killed a few more wile my gunners killed the rest. my spearmen held the line.
his goblins moved and that was all. his goblin archers moved forward to me.
his chariot followed the goblins on the bores. his stone thrower killed a few gunners
my cannon killed the chariot along with some pistol fire. my spearmen charged the goblins on bores and killed the front rank.
all he had left by the end of this turn were his archers and his stone thrower.
my guns killed the archers.
my spearmen killed his archers.
what do you think?
my first fantasy battle report....
P.S. Blood angels rule, the anger lets us ignore wounds ...hehehe
Being a goblin player i say stupid humies but his list was pretty shocking anyway. 20 wolf riders in suchg a small game is sooo stupid. orcs are bad so i like jkust plain goblins. you were VERY lucky with your rolls which one you the day. goblins will have their revenge, congrATS on your win though.

Good win, don't listen to this silly grobi, he thinks he's all that. I know a couple players like that. The best is to see them lose and since winning is their life's essense they usually break down into tears.
Either way you do the math, it all adds up to you goin' down
Firebeard- watch what you say stuntie! my sspecial charator that leads my army is skarsnik and he has already conquered you stunties.

i would only sujest getting some free company detachments in there and spliting up your handgunners into smaller units, makes them harder to kill as you'll need to chase around multiple units worth almost nothing each.
on the game itself, sounds like you played perfectly. good fire distribution and got took the initive on the charge, the only casualties on your side seemed to come from the stone thrower. maybe a bit of prioritizing targets before the game starts, where the orcs a better target then the stone thrower? if yes, then i can find no fault, good work.
that's the thing about perfection, it can only get worse.
