Darson Von Kreigburg “The Darkson rummaged through the High Elf Elven Hall muttering to himself I know it’s here somewhere I’m sure of it. His apprentices Tawilager, and Babcock both former brettonian wizards, now a concubines of Darkson bring forth a High Elf maiden. Darkson exclaims tell me what I want to know and perhaps I your death will be quick. The High Elf maiden terrified by the mighty Darkson bravely refuses to give any information. So be it states Darkson an with that he looks to his Wight friend known only as the Captain. The Captain strikes the helpless maiden with his Wight Sword decapitating her and her body falls lifeless to the ground. Darkson then summons her back to life under his control she reforms in a skeleton with flesh. He then says, now where is the Phoenix Star. The now animated maiden walks over the wall with elven symbols and moves three of them following Darkson’s commands. A large stone begins to slide and under it reveals a glowing red star. Darkson then grabs the star and places it into a bag. Just then several fell bats appear in a nearby window and begin to screech, Darkson says, “Blast the High Elves have a small army on their way to stops that cannot be allowed. Ladies prepare the army. Tawilager and Babcock hury outside and begin to summon the troops...
Anra the great eagle flew hurriedly and surveyed the ground using his eagle vision. He could not believe the slaughter he had just witnessed. He had only one thought on his mind he must find his master Helglen. Then he saw it, a High Elf army returning from a patrol. He flew towards it and as he approached he saw his master Helglen. Helglen sensed the eagle and looked skyward as he approached. The eagle hovered in front of Helglen and squawked to Helglen what he had just seen. Helglen turned to his friend and commander Jaserx, and said gather the other commanders we must talk. Jaserx ran off to gather the others. When they arrived, Jaserx, Ta-edor, and Etheran, the 3 Commanders could tell by the look of his face Helglen has something terrible to tell them. Helglen explained what the Eagle Anra had told him. The 3 commanders could not believe their ears, Ta-edor was very distraught by the news as he had come from Attern, the small high elf community that lived amongst the High Elven Hall and Shrine. Helglen exclaimed we must go and remove the Necromancer who has taken our land. I propose Ta-edor should lead the attack as his unit is from the city and will surely fight with great resolve to rid our beautiful land of this Necromancer filth. Ta-edor stepped into the light, he was wearing a strange looking set of armour they had found on one of his patrols when a strange object crashed to the ground from the sky. His armour looked very strange compared to those worn by his fellow High Elves, but since he had worn it Ta-edor had almost single handedly destroyed a unit of Ogres. Ta-edor said I accept this honor and the rest of his White Wolves would fight valiantly. Helglen stated, so be it we will go to Attern and avenge our fallen comrades. Gather the troops we must march though the night and Anra will lead us. Word passed from the commanders to the rest of the army. The Elves adorned their armour and started to march toward Attern with only one thought revenge…

Battlefield and Deployment from the High Elf Perspective.
As Ta-edor crested the hill to Attern he surveyed the battlefield with his elven eyes. He saw a large hill where he once used to play as a child. Down from the hill he saw a Elven Monolisk now covered with 6 large bats. Next to that a large elven hall with a unit of large wolves waiting in front of it, Then, a sight he could not believe a small group of villagers with most of their skin removed, he assumed they were set on fire as only their bones remained. He recognized the spears and armour they had as elven and some bore the mark of Attern. Next to them was a more heavily armoured unit they had glowing blades and human features. They were lead by a human wielding a Great Weapon and wearing glowing armour. Right next to them was another unit of skeleton elves with spears and a large units of Dire Wolves next to them with another unit of large bats on the a large hill. Helgren had mentioned to Ta-edor that he had fought undead creatures before and they were always animated by someone, and if you could find him and kill him they would perish. Ta-edor had no sign of this Necromancer in charge, then he saw them, directly behind the unit of undead humans with glowing blades a unit of villagers who still had their skin, but most were missing limbs and seemed not to have a mind of their own. Amongst them he saw three distinctly different people. 2 looked like beautiful bretonian women, but they looked dead and had strange items. Then, finally he saw a man carrying a large book with a small demon floating nearby. This must be the leader he thought, he watched as this human barked command at the 2 women and 2 other women who looked like ghostly Dark Elves floated by one on each side of his unit of zombies. Ta-edor knew the human was the one that must be killed. He was amazed that the deadites formed a perfect T formation with Skeletons on both sides, the Glowing Sword deadites in the middle, the zombie units with the necromancers behind flanked by banshees. This necromancer had apparently studied many battles and devised some battle formations for his units. Strange thought Ta-edor he had never heard of any deadites using battle formations.
Ta-edor then turned to his army and stated, “The enemies on the other side of this field are not our comrades, by slaying them you free thier souls. The leader of this group is hiding like a coward, behind the unit with the glowing swords, he must be destroyed for victory to be achieved. Then he started issuing commands to each unit. He decided not to intrude the High elves shine on the far left of the battlefield and instead ordered the first unit of archers to take the hill across from the Monolisk. Likewise he told the Repeater crew to set up on the hill also. Then, he told Etheran to take his unit of Silver Helms and position them in front of the hill this would place them slightly on the left flank of the main undead formation. Next to them Jaserx and the swordmasters took up their place. Next, he told the spearelves to rank up. Helglen tapped his large crossbow shaped like a eagle and suggested he and the other unit of archers should line up slightly behind but to the right of the spearelves directly across from the deadites with the glowing swords Ta-edor agreed. Ta-edor then looked at his unit of white wolves he knew they would do as they were told and he ordered them next to the archers but slightly forward. Ta-edor motioned to Anra to line up behind next to woods. With that Ta-edor joined the white wolves and gave a signal for the attack to begin.
High Elves Turn 1:
Etheran and his silverhelms move slightly forward and angle themselves towards the far unit of skeleton warriors, Jaserx moves his unit of swordmasters to cover the silverhelms flank. Spearelves units move forward towards the deadites with the glowing swords also. Ta-edor moves his white wolves forward next to the woods using them to block his right flank. Anra moves forward and lands in front of the white wolves daring the large wolves in front of the hill to charge him. Helgren summons the winds of magic and unleashes two furious attacks one at the grave guard and one at the giant bats on the hill, but both are easily dispelled by the Darkson and the other Necromancers. Helgren then points his large eagle shaped crossbow and unleashes a bolt that grows as it heads towards the grave guards 2 are impaled on the large bolt and turn to dust. Jaserx then pulls his golden bow and unleashes a flurry of arrows with incredible speed as the arrows close on the grave guard then begin to glow and 2 move of the evil deadites fall impaled by the arrows. The bolt thrower on the hill also targets the grave guard and impales another. The archers on the hill unleash their arrows, but they all fall short. Finally, the archers with Helgren open fire and drop one of the glowing deadites also. Ta-edor thinks to himself 6 down if we can keep this up victory will be ours.
Undead Turn 1:
The large wolves in front of the hill could not contain themselves with the sight of the eagle and charged him. Anra easily flew away from the charge and landed on the opposite side of the woods. The large wolves realized they wouldn’t catch him and stopped chasing him. The other unit of wolves moved to the flank of the silverhelms keeping out of their charge arc and using them as a shield from the swordmasters then reformed to face the hill with both the bolt thrower and archers. The bats on the Monolisk move next to the wolves protecting their flank. The other bats on the hill move forward and next to the woods but remain out of charge arc of the Ta-edor and and white wolves. Darkson raises his hands and in unison the 2 skeleton units, grave guard unit, and zombie unit maintain their T formation and all move forward and wheel to face the Silverhelms and swordmasters. Only the Ghostly women broke formation as both of them moved to the right flank of Darkson unit. Babcock raises her hand and summons 6 zombies between the spearelves and white wolves in front of Helgren and his unit of archers. Babcock then casts hellish vigor on newly summoned zombies. Darkon then tries to summon more zombies in the same unit, but Helgren reads from a scroll and as the zombies begin to emerge from the ground then crumbled to dust. Tawilager then also summons zombie then time they are summoned with some much power Helgren can do nothing about it. 17 more zombies arise from the ground and as soon as the are added they become enraged with vigor also.
High Elves Turn 2:
Anra the great eagle apparently still haunted by the slaughter he witnessed before the battle decides not to rally and tries to flee the battlefield, even with Ta-edor’s encouragement. Helgren sensing his unit of archers is about to be charged thinks about moving into Ta-edor’s unit, but remembered last time he was with this unit and not being able to cast because of the formation they use. Instead he moves diagnolly backwards and to the right of the archers. The unit of archers moves 2.5 inches backward still facing the zombies just formed in front of them. The spearelf unit turns to face the zombie unit and is just out of the zombies charge arc, but will be ready for a flank charge next turn. Jaserx is the newest of the elven commanders and is torn between protecting the silverhelms flank or wheeling to face the Bats and wolves. He has seen the valor that, Eltheran silverhelms, have used in the past and decides to face the wolves and bats. Hoping to target them with his golden Reaverbow thinking perhaps he can destroy one of the units. Helgren summons the fury of Khaine at the large wolves in front of the white wolves of Ta-edor and bolts of fire hit the Dire wolves only 3 die however. He then tries to summon flames of phoenix on the grave guard, but Darkson easily stop it.
The bolt thrower crew on the hill fires 6 rapid shots into the Dire wolves preparing to charge, but in their haste the missed with all but one bolt and only one wolf was turned to dust. Jaserx then fires and 3 arrow volley at the wolves 2 more turn to dust leaving 5 left. Helgren fires his Sea Farer bow at the grave guard, but misses and the bolt lands in front of the unit. The archers on the hill also fire at the dire wolves and 1 more is turned to dust.
Undead Turn 2:
The zombie unit in front of the archers charges them. The elven archers turn and flee and using their incredible quickness they flee right off the battlefield. The zombie unit stumbles to a stop right in front of spearelves on their flank. The large bats charge across the battlefield and into the bolt thrower crew. The 4 remaining wolves charge the archers on the hill. The archers on the hill have fear in their eyes, but manage to kill 2 more wolves only 2 reach the archers. The Dire Wolves on the other side of the battlefield move by the small gap between the white wolves and the wood then reform behind the White wolves and reform facing Helgren and the fleeing great eagle Anra. The bats move from behind the woods and land next to Anra also. The T formation continues to move forward towards the Silver Helms. Both Banshees move to the left flank of the Silver Helms and prepare to wail. Tawilger casts Danse Macabre on the Dire Wolves trying to charge them into Helgren. Helgren strains using his magic, but stops the spell. Tawilager then summons 6 zombies right in front of the white wolves angles to direct the wolves away from the main T formation. Darkon casts curse of years on the Silver Helms Helgren cannot stop it and 1 Silver helm ages and falls of his horse dead. Darkon then summons skeletons into the unit nearest the Silver Helms Helgren decides to save his magic for the evil Necromancers next attack thus 5 more skeletons are raised. Babcock casts Danse Macabre on the Dire Wolves to charge them into Helgren, but once again Helgren is able to stop it. The 2 Ghostly Dark Elves howl at the Silver Helm unit 2 more Silver Helms fall over dead with blood coming out of their ears. The Dire Wolves that charged the archers on the hill attack the archers but the elves skill is to much and none are hit. The archers attack back with their hand weapons and kill 1 wolf. The remaining wolf is unable to maintain it’s self and crumbles into dust. The brave archers overrun in the excitement of the victory. The bats charge the bolt thrower crew and they flee with fear in their eyes. They run to edge of the battlefield, and just outrun the bats as they stop and destroy the bolt thrower.
High Elf Turn 3:
The bolt thrower crew looks back at the bats an their former bolt thrower fearing the same may happen to them they run off the battlefield. Anra the great eagle hears the encouragement from Ta-edor and decides to stop running and turns to face the wolves with the bats on his side. The Spearmen choke back their fear and charge the unit of zombies in the flank that just scared away the archers. Ta-edor and the white wolves charge the unit of newly summoned zombies hoping to destroy them and get behind the dreaded T formation of the undead. Helgren moves between the large wolves and the zombies now being charged by the spear elves, expertly avoiding both their charge arcs. The victorious archers wheel to face the Bats on the hill. Jaserx moves his swordmaster to the slight rear of the silver helms he yells for Etheran to move forward just a bit. With that Etheran moves his unit of Silver Helms forward just a bit and now Jaserx can line up a shot on one of the ghostly dark elven woman. Helgren casts fury of khaine on the wolves nearby, but Tawilager easily stops it. Helgren know that he must do something to nullify the deadites magic. He has paid care attention to what necromancer is casting the spell that moves his unit magically. He targets Tawilager and casts drain magic a magic vortex opens near Tawilager and he suddenly feels all of his power drain. Next, he casts walk between worlds on himself and he becomes a ghostly apparition. He knows he should have removed the curse on the Silverhelms, but also knows his importance to the battle. Helgren then targets his large crossbow and fires a bolt towards the grave guard the bolt begins to glow and speeds up once again, but this time when it hits it bounces off the armour of the grave gaurds. (You guessed it I rolled a 1). Jaserx lets a hail of arrows fly towards the ghostly woman and her soul is saved as she dissolves into thin air. The archers also let a volley fly at the bats on the hill only 1 arrows hits its mark. The white wolves attack the zombies with great speed Ta-edor swings his halberd and hack 2 of the zombies to bits. While the rest of his unit destroy 2 more the rest of the zombies fall to the ground their magic leaving them. The victorious white wolves overrun and now are behind the T formation of the undead, but still facing the wrong way. The Spearelves attack the zombie formation and impale 3 zombies, due to the massive numbers of elves 9 more of the zombies turn to dust, but the zombies where not completely destroyed and thus stall the spearelves who were hoping to overrun into the wolves behind the zombies.
Undead turn 3:
Darkson surveyed the battlefield this battle had be going much same as all of his battles in the past. He had only lost a few minor units of which he wound just summon again after this battle was over. The high elves had already lost a good bulk of cavalry and their war machine. Yes he thought, things are going just as planned. It was now time for the counter attack and to finish the elves once and for all. He raised his hands and gave the commands to his forces. The bats next to the great eagle charged Anra, The eagle new if he tried to flee he would be destroyed. His only hope was to fight the bats. The skeleton warriors facing the silver helms now bolstered by the newly summoned warriors drop their spears and pull their swords then charge the Silverhelms. The Lion on the Silverhelms banner starts to glow and they feel and inner confidence and prepare for the attack. The Bats on the hill flew down and landed on the flank of the spearelves fighting the zombies. The Captain now moved his Grade Guard and the other skeletons forward to cover the flank of the skeletons that charged the Silverhelms. Darkson commands his zombies to move behind the unit of Skeletons fighting the Silverhelms thus using the other unit of skeletons to block his flank. Another Silverhelm suddenly aged quickly and could not support his weight and fell off his horse. Darkon casts Gaze of Nagash on the Swordmasters, but Helglen is able to dispel it. Babcock then tries to cast Danse Macabre on the The Captain and the Grave Guard to charge them into the Silverhelms, but she must have been to close to Tawilager when the drain spell when off and all of her magic left her. Darkson anger by this says women do I have to do everything and casts Hellish vigor on the Skeletons fighting the Silverhelms as Helgren decides to let it go fearing greater magic is coming. Darkson then points at the ground behind the spearmen and 12 new zombie corpes arise from the ground. Tawilager knows his magic is drained, but reads from the large book he is carrying. The Captain and his unit of Grave Guard begin to move forward in the direction of the Silverhelms, but with his last remains of magic Helgren stops it barely and the Grave Guard stay put. The remaining Ghostly Dark Elf woman howls at the Silverhelms, but none fall. Etheran is please with his unit of Silverhelms with now on 4 remaining, but still vigilant. Etheran knows that they cannot take much more of this and issues a challenge to the skeleton champion. The champion attacks Etheran, but he easily avoids the blows, but then the champion attacks again this time hitting but the Elven armour wards off the blows. The champion is then struck twice and turns into a pile of bones. The rest of the skeletons attack with incredible speed and vigor and the onslaught is to much for the Silverhelms, but luckily but their armour turns away the blows. In return 2 more skeletons are killed and 1 is trampled by a horse. Even though the skeleton unit lost horribly they don’t even seem to care. Etheran knows unless he gets some help they will be overwhelmed. On the other side of the battlefield the bats attack the great eagle Anra, but are unable to wound his thick hide. In return Anra kills one bat and another takes a wound as the magic that sustains them begins to fail. The spearelves attack the zombie unit once again and impales all of 6 of them the last 2 falling due to lack of magic.
High Elves Turn 4:
The victorious spearelves have no time to celebrate and reform to face the newly summoned zombie behind them. Helgren now see’s he must see shelter and heads into the nearby woods. The swordmasters backup and wheel to face The Captain and the Grave Guard guessing they are just out of charge range. The archers wheel all the way around to put the Fell Bats that just left the hill in their sights. Ta-edor and the white wolves wheel towards the Zombie unit containing the 3 necromancers. Helgren casts fury of khaine on the fell bats and another bats turns to dust. He then casts drain magic on Tawilager again, but this time Darkon is prepared and dispels it. Lastly he tries to remove the curse on Jaserx and the Swordmasters, but fails miserably. Jaserx fires a volley of three arrows at the Grave Guard 2 more Grave Guard perish. The Captain thinks to himself I will have your head elf warrior. Archers let a volley fly towards the Fell Bats, but all fail to wound. Anra attacks the remaining bats and using his talons another turns to dust, but the bats now lash out and wound Anra, she is outnumbered and takes to the air trying to out run the bats, and does, but in her haste she fails to realize she has flown next to the other unit of bats. Etheran and his Silverhelms see the skeletons they are fighting begin to lose their vigor and slow down. Etheran strikes out at the skeletons and hits two of them, but amazingly their armour and shields protect them. The rest of the Silverhelms were stunned, by what they saw and failed to kill any skeletons. The skeletons struck back, but now slowed were unable to kill and silverhelms. The Silverhelms where valiant and stubborn, and with the confidence of Etheran and their banner refused to break.
Undead Turn 4:
Even Darkson was impressed with the resolve shown by the Silverhelms, but it didn’t matter other had shown resolve such as this and eventually they would call Darkson their master. The Fell Bats now saw the eagle in their sights and charged from the side Anra. She desperately tried to flee, but could not out distance the bats they caught her and slashed her she fell from the sky to the ground. The Captain and his grave guard charge the Jaserx and the Swordmasters, Jaserx fires a volley into the charging grave guard and 2 more turn to dust, The Captain and his Grave Guard had underestimated the distance just as Jaserx had hoped next turn his Swordmasters would charge and eliminate the Grave guard and their leader. The newly risen zombies charge into the spearelves who hold their ground. The skeleton spearmen next to the Grave Guard charge the High Elf spearmen on the flank, but the elven spearmen hold their ground. Darkson calls to the few remaining bats fly and land in front of Ta-edor and the white wolves blocking their charge arch to Darksons unit. Then he commands his unit of wolves to line up behind them facing on an angle to direct any overrun by Ta-edor and the white wolves away from his zombie unit. Jaserx then begins to feel himself age slightly and he see 3 of his Swordmasters age and fall dead. Tawilager casts Danse Macabre on the Grave Guard and hopes to charge them magically into the Swordmasters. Helglen knows he must stop this spell in order to have any chance for victory, but the sight of his eagle Anra lying on the ground distracted him and he failed to stop it(You guessed it I miscast the dispel on 3 dice only needing and 8 because of High Elf magic defense to stop it.) The Captain and his Grave Guard charge into the suprised Swordmasters and Jaserx. Tawilager then summons 12 zombies behind the Swordmasters facing their rear. Babcock also summons 6 zombies strengthening the unit just summoned by Tawilager. Tawilager then reads from a book she is holding trying to move the zombies behind the Swordmasters into their rear, but Helgren uses his last reserves of magic to stop it. Babcock then holds the Staff of Damanation high in the air the staff emits so much power that it loses its glow but now all units around her the Skeletons fighting the Silverhelms, the Grave Guard fighting the Swordmasters, The zombies fighting the spearelves all begin to glow and move at a quicker pace. The ghostly banshee howls at the remaining 3 Silverhelms and Etheran. Three of the brave warriors fall dead with blood coming out of their ears(Dan rolled a 12 for the Banshee Howl) Even Etheran was wounded by the Howl. The Captain directs his attacks towards Jaserx while the rest of his unit attack the swordmasters. The Captains sword is guided by the banner of burrows and even though Jaserx avoids 2 of the attacks, suddenly The Captain attacks 2 more times and hits Jaserx 3 time, Jaserx armour is useless again the Great Weapon of the Captain and his fall to the ground dead. The Captain then attacks the golden bow held by Jaserx that is now on the ground. The bow breaks into 3 pieces. The rest of the Grave Guard attack and like the Captain their weapons are guided by the banner of the Burrows and although the Swordmasters block some of their attacks there are just to many and 3 Swordmasters are killed also. The Swordmaster champion strikes back, but both wounds are saved by the grave guards armour. The Swordmasters fail their break test and flee only to be destroyed by the pursing Captain and his Grave Guard as the pursue past the Zombies and Spearelves that are fighting. The spearelves are fighting a 2 front battle, The skeleton attack the spearelves on the flank and kill 1 spearelf. The zombies attack the front of the spearelves, but fail to kill any. The spearelves attack the zombies in the front and kill 6 (on 12 attacks I hit 11 times and wounded 6). The spearelves resolve gets them a draw from the combat. Lastly the skeletons fighting Etheran attack in incredible numbers Etheran parries desperately, but there are to many attacks from the speedy skeletons and finally 1 pierces his armour. Etheran falls from his horse to the ground.
High Elves turn 5:
Ta-edor is distressed by the deaths of his comrades, he is now obsessed with making the Necromancer responsible pay for his crimes. He commands his white wolves to charge the bats in front of them. The archers wheel towards the Grave Guards. Helgren realizes he must do something to end this battle or it will be lost. Casts Flames of the Phoenix on the Zombie units with the 3 Necromancers. He puts all of his magic reserve into the spell, but Darkson calmly dispels it with ease (I rolled a 11 on 2 dice, but dan rolled a 14 on 3 dice to dispel it). Helgren then realized the bat nearby must be dealth with and casts fury of Khaine on the Bats 3 of the bats that just killed Anra perish leaving only 2 left.
Ta-edor and the white wolves driven by rare destroy all of the bats in their path and overrun into the Wolves behind. The Spearelves strike first now that the glowing aura around the Zombies and Skeletons has stopped and showing their training kill 6 more zombies (I rolled 10 hits and 6 Wounds). The skeletons on the their flank kill another spearelf, but still the spearelves draw the combat.
Undead Turn 5:
The remaining fell bat fly up the woods containing Helglen. The Captain turns his Grave Guard towards the archer he then commands the zombies nearby to turn and face the archers also. Darkson then moves his unit of Necromancers and zombies to the flank of the white wolves the white wolves suddenly seem to get stiff muscles and begin to sweat as the curse book nears them. The skeleton unit that was fighting the Silverhelms changes facing and turns toward the Ta-edor and the white wolves fighting the Dire Wolves. The last Ghostly Dark Elf moves through the Dire Wolves and to the flank of the White Wolves and Ta-edor. Darkson tries to summon a few more zombies into his unit with a simple spell but fails to do so. Tawilager then casts Danse Macabre on the Fell bats near the elven wizard. Helgren tries to stop it but cannot and the bats magically move through the woods and into combat with Helgren. Babcock cast Hellish vigor on the skeleton unit in combat with the Spearelves and the skeletons glow and begin to move faster. Darkson casts curse of years on the White Wolves the Amulet of fire on the White Wolve champion glows, but the spells still goes off 4 brave white wolves age and die. Tawilager reads from her book and the few remaining zombies fighting the Spearelves start to glow. With the last reserves of magic left Helglen stops the spell. The Ghostly Dark Elf howls at Ta-edor and the white wolves, but it fails to stop any. The Skeletons fighting the Spearelves now attacked with incredible speed and killed 2 elven spear warriors. The spearelves attack the Zombies and destroy the last 3 while the the champion and a spearelf attack the skeletons, but fail to kill any. The spearelves are now outnumbered and lose the combat by 1. The break and run due to fear and are destroyed by the pursing Skeletons. Ta-edor and the white wolves fight the curse placed on them by the book carried by the Necromancer Darkson. Ta-edor kills 2 Dire Wolves while the rest of the white wolves kill another. The Dire Wolves are unabled to maintain their magic that binds them and they turn to dust. Ta-edor and white wolves overrun into the skeletons that just turned to face them. The Fell bats attack Helglen, but the wizard avoids the blow. Helglen knows if he can just wound one of the bats their magic stability will be weakened greatly, but he training with the sword was limited and he failed to wound them. He was not used to close combat and thus turned and flee from the large bats only to run down and clawed from behind. With that Darkson felt his magic surging he know the enemy wizard was no longer.
High Elf Turn 6:
The Archers reform to face the zombies now approaching them. Ta-edor knew the battle was lost be he was not going down without a fight. Ta-edor some of the white wolves had moved just enough to get out of range of that cursed book. He swung his halberd towards the skeletons and killed 3 himself while one other white wolf destroyed another skeleton. The two remain white wolves that could fight were both battling the effects of the curse book their muscles ached, but were able to kill 3 more Skeletons. (I hit with every attack and wounded on ever hit. It was amazing) 7 total had fallen and with no attacks back 2 more turned to dust due to instability, but the skeletons had held.
Undead Turn 6:
Darkson new it was only a matter of time now as with all other armies he had faced he literally crushed the life out of them. On top of that he had recovered the Phoenix Star today was a good day he thought to himself. With that he turned his attention back to the battle. The zombies on the far side of the battlefield charged the archers, though a hail of arrows 2 zombies fell. Darkson then moved his zombie unit next to Ta-edor and the white wolves once again and again the Ta-edor and the wolves found themselves in pain under the influence of the cursed book. The ghostly banshee moved behind the white wolves. Babcock casts hellish vigor on the skeletons battling the White Wolves, but the elven gods must have been watching over Ta-edors warriors as just when the spell started it suddenly was dispelled by as strange mist. Babcock then summoned 12 zombies on the flank of the White Wolves. Tawilager then casts Danse Macabre and the zombies charged into flank of the White Wolves. Darkson then summons 4 skeletons back to the skeleton unit fighting the White Wolves. The archers fight bravely against the zombies killing 2, but lose 1 themselves and break and run away from the battlefield with the zombies in chase. The Ghostly Banshee howls and 2 more white wolves age and die. The skeletons attacking the white wolves fail kill 1 white wolf. Ta-edor attacks the zombies on his flank and even under the effects of the Cursed book he kills 2 while the white wolves on that side also kill 2. The white wolf champion kills 2 skeletons. Only the power of the War Banner keeps the battle a draw.
Darkson then sees another high elf army coming over the hill. Obviously he had worn out his welcome here. He knew he could take the army, but decided he had done what he came for, and by leaving some High Elves around they would be able to spread his legend among the other High Elves. The day was won, come he said to the rest of his concubines and army and they quickly turned and left the battlefield. As he left he saw in the eyes the hatred of Ta-edor as he was battling the remaining skeletons. Darkson summoned more Skeleton to bolster the Skeleton unit the white wolves were fighting. This should keep them busy long enough for us cover our getaway. Ta-edor and rest of the white wolves finally defeated the remaining unit, but Darkson had already gone. Ta-edor looked to the sky and swore he would hunt down and kill the evil Necromancer Darkson.
Darn I thought this was one of my best reports yet.
sorry man, battle reports don't get a lot of replys. in general it only tops the SoC section for least used. and it's not that it's a bad battle report, it's just really bloody long. and since it's in paragraph form it's a bit intimidating. can i recomend a summery of each turn, just jot down the 5 most interesting occurences. keep the naritive, it's good. just under it, add a summery. an example would be in the first turn, when 6GG died to shooting, just write:
i) 6GG downed by shooting
keep them on diff lines so it's easier on the eyes. you could also increase the font size, right now it's a bit small and hard on the eyes. i made it to the bottom of the 2nd turn before i had to give up from straining my eyes so much.
sorry i have nothing to say on the battle report itself, but if you can get others to read it they'll likely have better input then my own.
tough luck with bab-whatever. those swear word catchers pick up their use even inside another word.
good luck with your next battle, and hope your reports are actually read and commented on.
that's the thing about perfection, it can only get worse.
