Just finished this battle last night. It's now 1:35 am and just finished the report, Enjoy.
Helglen the Archmage of Saphrey had been relaxing in his tower of Saphrey. When he sensed something through the winds of magic. He summoned his aid Caldred, He said he sensed something magical on the shores of Glaril. A magic portal has opened and that beasts of various nature are coming through. Alert the Hunting patrol nearby, and tell them to take care of the beasts quickly and then, return to Saphrey. Helglen then tells Caldred he senses something is not right about this and to get the men here in Saphrey ready for battle just incase…
The Lizardman Slann Grak ‘atol watched the progress of his Monster horde on a silver plaque granting him vision and control of the Monsters. He croaked, “Those who steal from us will pay for their crimes. Prepare of garrison, now that we have them distracted we will strike before they are ready. Battle Field High Elf Perspective:
On the west side of table and inlet from the sea. 2 watch towers in the middle of the field directly across from each other both and finally a deep forest on the eastern side of the battlefield in the High Elf Deployment zone.
The elves decided that general would be Aelf Laen the prince.
One Repeater Bolt Thrower deployed in woods within 2 of edge of woods, Aelf Laen also deployed in the woods within 2 of the edge next to the Repeater Bolt Thrower and crew. Next to him 15 Lothern Sea Guard in a straight line. The Other Repeater Bolt Thrower next to the Lothern Sea Guard. With the Swordmasters between them and the Tower. Caeth Drel and his Great Eagle just behind the tower, but with Line of sight Horned Ones across the way. On the other side of the tower Rien Nar and the Unit of Dragon Princes with Mort Lor and the archers next to them. Finally, the Silver helms next to them.
Cold One pack with 13 cold one across from the woods and Aelf Laen, The Stegadon next to them, and the Horned one pack across from the Lothern Sea Guard and Other Repeater Bolt Thrower. Between the other tower and the Horned ones the Carnosaur . Behind the Tower the unit of 5 terradons, and next to them on the opposite side of the tower the unit of 6 terradons. With the Jungle Swarm next to them and the Large Thunderlizard behind the swarm. Next to the Swarm the Other unit of Cold Ones, and finally the Salamanders in the Sea Inlet.
High Elves Turn 1:
Move: Aelf gave the hold order to his forces, Hoping to soften up the enemy with shooting. All of the High Elf units held their ground.
Magic: Mort Lor looked across the field at the monsters and saw one unit of flying Terradons heading his way. He summoned his magic and hit them Eagles Cry, The Terradons were suddenly shocked by a piercing eagle squawk. If not for the comfort of being with other monster they may have flown off the battlefield, but instead this caused them to move cautiously and look around.
Shooting: Aelf pointed his Seafarer bow at the large Stegadon across the way and fired the bolt struck the beast, but failed to pierce it’s thick skin. Aelf then commanded the rest of his units to concentrate fire on the Horned ones. Both Repeater Bolt Throwers fired a volley of arrows and 4 Horned one were impaled by the bolts. The Lothern Sea Guard unleashed a hail of arrows and 3 more Horned ones fell. Caeth Drel saw the Carnosaur lurking behind the now depleted Horned one and fired 3 shots with his Reaver Bow at the beast. 2 wounded, but amazingly the beast hide was tough and both were saved (He rolled two 6’s). Lastly, the unit of archers saw the spell the that Mort casted on the Terradons and fired a hail of arrows towards the Terradons just affects by the spell, but only one arrow wounded and that still left 5 Terradons. Aelf watched as his shooting should have caused panic in the Horned Ones, but they seemed immune to it. Aelf being a hunter Alef realized the beasts where territorial and would be almost immune to panic unless they were lored away from territory.
Great Lizards Turn 1:
Movement: Cold One Pack on the east side of the battlefield moved across the field towards Aelf and the Repeater Bolt Thrower in the woods. The Stegadon moved forward next to the Cold Ones. The remaining Horned ones move across the battlefield towards the Lothern Sea Guard and other Repeater Bolt Thrower. The Carnosaur after taking fire from the Reaver bow moves to the other side of the tower using it as cover. The unit of 6 Terradons flies over the tower and land in front between the tower and next to the Horned Ones. Daring Rien Nar and the Dragon Princes to charge. The other unit of Terrodons moves forward, but is hampered by the spell and only moves next to the tower on their side of the battlefield. Swarm slithers forward across the battlefield towards the archers and Mort the mage. Followed by the Thunder Lizard behind them. The Cold One Pack runs forward towards the Silver Helms. Lastly, the Salamander wade through the tide and move up the western flank.

High Elf Turn 2:
Charges: Rien looks towards Caeth and they both nod understand each other. Both Rien and Caeth charge the Terradon unit that just landed in front of the tower. The Horned Terradons flee, but underestimate how fast the Elves were. Caeth caught the fleeing Terradons first and slew several then Rien Nar and the Dragon Princes slew the rest of the flying lizards. Now with the Tower between them and the Carnosaur. The remaining Horned Ones Panic from the sight of their slayed flying friends. The ran back towards their starting area and right in the path of the Rien’s Dragon princes and Caeth.
Movement: The Lothern Sea Guard change to 2 ranks to prepare for the charges of the lizards. Aelf moves from the woods and joins the unit. The Sword Masters move forward and angle themselves in front of the Repeater Bolt Thrower to block charges to from the Stegadon or Cold Ones. The Silver Helms and archers back up and turn around putting themselves out of charge range from the oncoming lizards.
Magic: Mort attempts to cast Eagles Cry on the Terradons once again, but is unable to control the winds of magic and the spell is stopped.
Aelf fires his Sea Farer bow towards the Stegadon once again. This time the bolt pierces the lumbering beast hide. The beast roars with pain, but continues forward. The Repeater Bolt Thrower in the woods fires a single bolt at the Stegadon and the Bolt hits the Stegadon and impales its hide. The beast howls in pain and falls dead to the ground blood pouring from its wounds. The Archers on the other side of the field open fire on the Terradons and one terradon falls dead.
Great Lizards Turn 2:
Stupidity: The Cold Ones facing the Silver Helms fail their test and move forward slightly. The Thunder Lizard and other unit of Cold ones both pass their test. And the Salamanders keep their aggressive nature in check.
Charges: The remaining Terradons charge the now revealed Bolt Thrower since the Swordmaster moved in front of them, but land just in front of the Bolt Thrower (Failed by 1 inch) and behind the Sword Masters. The Cold Ones charge the Lothern Sea Guard and Aelf, Aelf yells, “Hold and his men fight back their fear as the Cold Ones hit them in the front.
Rally: The Horned Ones now in their start territory auto rally and turn to face Rien’s Dragon princes and Caeth.
Moves: The Salamanders continue to wade through the surf and move on to land towards the Silver Helms. The Carnosaurd moves between the towers and is now in the rear of both Caeth and Rien and the Dragon Princes. The Jungle Swarm continues towards the Archers and Mage. The Thunder Lizard move around the Swarm and towards the archers.
Shooting: The Salamander breathe a blast of flame towards the Silver Helms and they are covered with flames. When the smoke clears the Silver Helms and are no more all that remains is ashes and bones. (He rolled 20 hits) The archers nearby fight back their panic and hold their ground.
The Cold Ones rip 2 Sea Guard into pieces, with their jaws. One cold one bites at Aelf, but fails to even hit him. In return, Aelf strikes back and kills one of the Lizards, while the Sea Guard stab back, but their spears failed on kill 1 more Cold One. The Cold Ones are being overwhelmed by the Lothern Sea Guard, and flee away from the Sea Guard. Aelf and the Lothern Sea Guard give chase and strike down the fleeing Cold Ones(He rolled a 7 for flee and I rolled a 7 to catch them.).
High Elves Turn 3:
Charges: Caeth overcomes his fear and Rien and the Dragon Price fear not due to their Lion Standard. Caeth, Rien and his Dragon princes once again charge forward this time into the waiting Horned Ones.
Moves: Aelf leaves the Sea Guard and moves back to the woods once again. The Sea Guard reform and face the Bolt Thrower and the 2 Terradons. The Sword Masters cannot march because of the Terradons, but wheel around just enough to put the Carnosaur in their front Arc. The Archers and wizard move backward away from the Salamanders and Thunder Lizard.
Magic: Mort tries to cast Eagles cry on the Thunder Lizard but the winds of magic are fickle and the spell is stopped.
Shooting: Aelf fires his Bow of the Seafarer at the Thunder Lizard, but the bolt fall short of target. Both Repeater Bolt Throwers target the remaining Terradons with volleys, 2 Terradons are killed and one more is wounded. But they don’t panic and instead look towards the Bolt Thrower crew in front of them baring their teeth. The Archers fire at the Carnosaur and but their arrows fail to penetrate its hide.
Close Combat: Caeth swings his halberd killing 2 Horned Ones and his Great Eagle kills one more. Rien chops 2 Horned Ones in half destroying the unit and both Caeth, Rien and his Dragon Princes overrun moving away from the Carnosaur in their rear arc.
Great Lizards Turn 3:
Stupidity: Thunder Lizard passes, but the remaining cold one unit fails and moves towards Archers smelling the blood of the fallen Silver Helms.
Charges: The Carnosaur charges the Swordmasters and their Standard of Balance holds them in place preparing to take the charge. The remaining Terradons charge the Bolt Thrower in front of them and it’s crew bravely move to protect it.
Moves: The Thunder Lizard rambles forward and prepare to charge the High Elf archers and the Mage. The Swarm moves right in front of the archer preparing to charge them next turn. The Salamander move fully forward to the flank of the Archers.
In Close Combat: The Carnosaur attacks, but the Sword Masters skill shows and all but 2 of the attacks are parried and only 2 Sword Masters fall. In return, The Sword Master champion is able to wound the Carnosaur. The Smell of blood sends the Carnosaur into a frenzy and the Sword Master lap around it flanks. The Terradons lash out with their claws and kill both High Bolt Thrower crew wipping them out. The Terradons choose not to purse and look towards the remaining bolt thrower.
High Elf Turn 4:
Moves: Mort Lar knows his chance of survival versus the Thunder Lizard are slim. So he leaves the unit and runs behind the tower out of the Thunder Lizards view. The Archer change ranks and prepare for the charges to come. Caeth flies over the tower and lands in front of the toward behind the Thunder Lizard and Carnosaur. Rien wheels his Dragon Princes in a circle and is on the Carnosaurs left flank and preparing to charge. The Lothern Sea Guard move forward towards the toward and the remaining Terradons. Aelf moves out of woods and behind Lother Seaguard putting Thunder Lizard in his line of sight and range.
Magic: Mort attempts to cast Beast Cowers on the Carnosaur, but the fails. He then cast Eagles Cry on the Jungle Swarm, but the winds are fickle and it is dispelled.
Shooting: Aelf fires his Seafarer bow and the Thunder Lizard and the bolt pierces its skin causing a minor wound. While the last Repeater Bolt Thrower fires a volley at the remaining Terradons and all of the winged lizards are knocked from the sky. The archers fire a volley at the swarm in a desperate attempt to stop them and kill some of the creatures (1 base), but the Jungle swarm still keeps moving forward. Finally, Caeth fires his Reaver Bow at the Thunder Lizard, but it’s thick hide protects it from damage.
Close Combat: The Swordmasters swing their great weapon and chop into the Carnosaur, but even though they damaged it severly they failed to kill it.( It had one wound left). In return the Carnosaur bite and slashed and 4 Swordmasters were killed. The Carnosaur was seriously wounded, but held it’s ground. 2 more Swordmaster lapped around its flanks.
Great Lizards Turn 4:
Charge: The Thunder Lizard rumbled forward and into the archer. With the ground shaking the archers were not able to fire their bows at the incoming target. The Jungle Swarm also charged the archers.
Moves: The Cold Ones move down the middle of the battlefield towards the Carnosaur, Swordmasters, Caeth and Rien’s Dragon Princes stopping between the two towers. The Salamanders wheel and move towards the center of the battlefield also now on the right flank of the Cold Ones, but slightly behind.
Close Combat: The Thunder Lizard plowed into the elven archers trampling 4 on the charge and clawing 2 more after. The Jungle Swarm hit the archers killing their champion and 2 more archers with their deadly venomous bites and stings. The only archer remaining the Standard bearer and he turned to flee off the board the Thunder Lizard chased him picked him up in his jaws and swallowed him whole. This pursuit put him out of play for now. While the swarm only followed a short distance.
High Elf Turn 5:
Moves: With no enemies to charge the high elf maneuvered to charge next turn. Caeth and his eagle landed on top of the tower and kept the Cold one and Salamanders in their charge arc. Rien sees that the Swordmasters have the fight with the Carnosaur well in hand and moves his Dragon Princes up next to the tower, but still out of range of the Cold Ones. Aelf moves towards the Dragon Princes flank and can now see the Cold Ones approaching down the middle of the battle field between the two towers. The Lothern Sea Guard wheel to protect the flank of the Swordmaster and now are using the tower as a shield from the Salamanders. Mort Lar runs from behind the tower and joins the Lothern Sea Guard unit.
Magic: Mort Lar casts Eagle Cry on the Cold Ones with Ultimate Force. The cold ones fail their leadership test and flee 4 inches toward their deployment zone.
Shooting: Caeth fires his Reaver Bow at the Salamanders approaching and 2 of his arrow stick in a beasts hide. The Reapeater Bolt Thrower fires one bolt and the Jungle swarm, but misses. Finally, Aelf fires his Seafarer bow at the fleeing Cold Ones and kills one.
Close Combat: The Swordmasters attack the Carnosaur and all miss except for the Champion who thrusts his Great Sword into the Carnosaurs belly and spills its entrails all over the ground killing it.
Great Lizards Turn 5:
Stupidity: Thunder Lizard rumbles forward half distance after returning to battlefield.
Rally: The Cold Ones Stop fleeing and reform to face the Dragon princes and SwordMasters.
Moves: Salamanders move forward slightly and put the Swordmasters in their line of sight. Jungle Swarm Reforms towards towers.
