I'm not posting a battle report, but rather asking a specific battle report related question therefore I hope the moderators will be kind to me and keep this thread here
What is the shortest game you have played, I have had games at 500pts before where my dice rolls have been incredibly lucky and they have been over in two turns (bolt thrower fire and crossbows making work of the majority, then an unlucky demonic instability test from a flank charge by dark riders).
I am curious whether anyone has had a game which has only lasted one turn. Theoretically with some of the empire gun battle games, against a small number of troops (chaos anyone?) it could be possible to lose and all you have done is set up your figures, and rolled to watch your men die.
I have indeed had such a battle. My friend's Tomb Kings against my dwarfs. 500 pts. I used 24 warriors, a thane, 16 thunderers, and an organ gun. he used 3 chariots, 8 heavy cavalry, 9 tomb gaurd, and a lich priest. i got first turn, and my fire power smote him from the battlefield. 1 turn.
How did that work? I count 3 targets there? Or did you have 2 units of 12 thunderers?
My Dwarf army one trashed my opponent's Skaven in the first turn - a couple of cannons wrecked a clanrat unit and the whole army fled off the board. Skaven player didn't even have a choice in the matter!:ninja:

I've just been chatting to one of my friends on msn, he told me he phased out 3000pts of Necrons in 1 turn with his Tau. That's truly horrible...
Remind me not to playtest my new skaven army against you Cairo...
Well, it was not that somebody beat their opponent senseless, but I forfeited (I'm using this term lightly) the game because he would not let me cast the spells with my weaver just by saying the words "allright, shooting" in the first turn and withpout measuring or declaring a shot, I remembered about the rest of my magic. He would not let me cast and he has a bad record (first thing he did was say my painting sucks) so I quit because I did not want to deal with bad sportsmanship.

I'm sure it's possible. A magic heavy army has all of his wizards miscast themselves sick on turn one, and the other guys war machines cripple everything else. That could easily make the rest of the game not worth playing.
Indeed, that is what happened. organ gun ripped through the priest like paper.

I have played games outside during the summer but typical British weather and things turned sour as it started to rain and we had to pack up pretty quickly does that count?.
In a campaign game one of the numerous battles which points wise was uneven involved a few hundred pts worth of HE Vs Vampire counts. The vampire counts had Black knights and a Zombie Dragon, that game was pretty pointless.
