Below is a list of rules for participating in the LO WHFB campaign. These rules are intentionally light, allowing you as gamers, to participate as much or as little as you like without affecting the overall flow of the campaign.
Signing Up to Participate
1. All participants must have a valid, active, Librarium Online account.
2. Once your account has been created, simply post in this thread, introducing yourself and telling us what side you will be fighting on. There are three sides which you can declare, 'Order', 'Disorder', and 'Chaos'. Note that you do not have to pick a specific army. You can play your campaign games with any army you want, provided that all of your armies are from the faction you declared when you signed up.
3. The factions:
Orcs and Goblins
Beasts of Chaos
Warriors of Chaos
*These armies can be used in more than one faction, either because of their mercenary habits (Ogres) their shifting loyalties (Tomb Kings) or in the case of the Dwarfs - because there aren't enough Chaos Dwarf players.
4. Players may sign up at any time, even after the campaign has started!
Playing and Reporting Games
1. You may play a campaign game against any opponent who is of a different faction that yourself and has an LO account.
2. Your games may use any scenarios, special characters, rules, and be of any points size agreed to between you and your opponent.
3. After you have played your game, make a post in the "Reports" thread located HERE. Your opponent will quote this post to validate the game and it's outcomes (detailed in the thread).
4. Each week I will tabulate the results and update the campaign. I am using a percentage system where wins are tipped so that losses are not as damaging to a faction's standing. There's no need to be a jerk and not validate a game which you lost. Obviously, for any games to be reported at all, both players will have to report -someone is going to have to report a loss.
Occasionally I will make a new thread which will focus on a particular event in the campaign. These side-events are optional chances for you to participate even more deeply in the campaign. Events may include special scenarios for you to play if your opponent agrees, or they might be small painting, modeling, or writing contests in the other forums here at LO. The idea is for this campaign to spread across the entire WHFB section of the site, which will in turn make more people aware of the campaign and bring more folks in here to participate. All of these events are optional, although winning or even just participating in them might could as wins for your faction, bringing you and your team that much closer to victory. How Long will the Campaign Last
So far I plan to run the campaign until January 1st, 2012. I expect to see a pretty drastic slowdown as winter sets in and Uni students finish up exams and people start traveling for the holidays. If participation stays high and everyone is still interested, we can always extend the campaign or start coming up with ideas for next year.
I would rather have a shorter campaign however, than have a campaign that runs too long and have people start dropping out and losing interest.Current Participants
Well i'm in. can I use two armies or are we restricted to one?
If it's just one army then the forces of order shall tremble and fear the Kurgen invasion from the frozen Chaos Wastes! Warriors of Chaos ftw! obviously in the Chaos group plz!
if i'm allowed to run two armies my second will be ky tree hugging force from Athel Loren. Wood Elves force of order.
Just let me know what/when/where to kill and it'll be all good!
EDIT: thanks for that Captain. Well looks like i'm a force for Chaos with the warriors then!

You can use as many armies as you'd like, but you're restricted to just one faction. Wood Elves and Warriors are in two separate factions (Order, Chaos) so you'd have to pick between the two.
As for who to fight? That's up to you. Go out and find some opponents among your gaming group or club. As long as they're willing to log on to LO to verify your games, you're good to go. Just go ahead and start reporting games.
Notice to everyone - there will be opportunities for participate without opponents signed in to LO, but you won't be able to report actual games. You can still participate in the other side events like the writing/painting/hobbying competitions.
Ok soungs like a plan. Count me in. I will be playing as the Mighty Dark Elves lol. Zahariel....IM coming for you. The mighty Khaine will be pleased with your sacrifice lol.

Nice, I'm glad to see more people coming in. There's fluff up for the opening of the campaign, pretty basic "The Old World is screwed (again) and everyone's coming to get them." because I wasn't about to rewrite the Storm of Chaos, and the Black Plagues of 1111 seemed cool.
Anyways, fluff is up, there's the thread to report your games, and next week I'll be updating the fluff and probably adding some sort of side mission or contest to liven things up a bit.
Here fluffy fluff fluff? Where are you, i've got little fluffy treats? No, right i'll just have to ask then......I might be having a bit of the stoopid juice today but where's the fluff at?
Pop out to the "LO Campaigns" section, and find the thread titled 'The Story So Far'. That will give you a brief overview of what's going on in this setting. A basic run down is that the Skaven have unleashed the Black Plague, a disease which will ravage the Empire and eventually leave ninety percent of it's populace dead. The Empire is under the rule of a greedy and corrupt tyrant, so they are ill-prepared for the level of devastation wrought by the plague. The plague is also present in Brettonia, where the kingdom's knights are off crusading in the World's Edge Mountains, driving the Orcs back into the East or underground. Vampires are raising vast armies of the plague victims, while Chaos is taking advantage of the weakened defenses to mount an attack. In the New World, the Skaven have penetrated Lustria and are waging war with the Lizardmen. The High Elves have only just recently created the Sword Masters, and are launching several witch-hunts throughout Ulthuan, looking for members of the Cult of Pleasure, the Dark Elves are preparing an assault, hoping to use the support of these covens to bring down Ulthuan's defenses.
I'll be playing for the Glory of Chaos. (Warriors Style)
