    Crimson Amulet question

The description for this item says that it can be used so the character wearing it passes all characteristic tests automatically, EXCEPT leaderships tests.

Does this mean that for any leadership based test, ie fear/terror test etc, he still has to test against his leadership?

    It sucks if it does

Well, the wording is IMHO quite clear (so no, it doesn't help in that cases)

    It sucks if it does
But the other way it would be way too cheap (just compare with the Banner of Valor, which makes a unit immune vs. panic and it's even more expensive than the Crimson Amulet without giving any ward save)
The way it is you get a basic ward save with a little bonus; it depends on the opponent whether this bonus will be of any use (Mostly some spells but also the occasional magic item force a characteristic test on the opponent)

But all summarized, the usefulness of the Crimson Amulet is average at best
It ain't easy bein' green... :-)
