Charm of the Jaguar Warrior: The model's movement is increased to 9''.
Now the 7th edition rulebook says that units that move more than 6" get to roll 3d6 when pursuing.
Sacred Spawning of Chotek: Roll an extra dice when pursuing and choose the highest two (or three if mounted.)
A) roll 3 + 1 d6 and choose the three highest.
roll 4d6 and choose the two highest.
I'm almost certain it's A but how exactly does chotek work with jaguar since the guy isn't mounted but moves fast enough for 3d6?

You're completely right, you would role 4 dice and pick the 3 highest as with a 9" move the Scar Vet would normally persue 3D6".
Cool, it's confusing though because chotek says (3d6 if mounted) which assumes any character moving that fast is on a mount when in reality you only need to be faster than M6.
When I told my friend about this online he didn't believe me and laughed. Apparently jaguar costs too little.
It is a fairly cheap item. For what it does, id say its points cost is fair, maybe it should be +5.
The thing that makes it so harsh is that ScarVets/Oldbloods are such great characters in themselves, and massively increasing their M makes them even better, hence people blame the item for the 'overpowered-ness'
On that note, does anyone know where I can buy a scar vet with a great weapon?
He doesnt really need to have a 'Great Weapon' for you to legally use it in a game. If you want it for the model though, i think you need to convert one. Possibly use the Weapon from a Kroxigor?
Yeah, there's no model for the Scar Vet that has a great weapon. I have done as deciever suggested and used the Kroixgor's Great Weapon, but slung it around the Scar Vet's back as I still like to use Hand Weapon and shield sometimes.
