just a quick question...
let's say i have a unit of 20 lothern seaguard (4x5)
a unit of something charges it and i declare i will stand and shoot
how many shots do i get?
5 because its my front rank or do the whole unit get to shoot?
Only the first rank can shoot, unless:
1) you are shooting at a large target, when all can shoot;
2) the unit is on higher ground, when the second rank can also shoot.
Are you certain that all can shoot if shooting at a large target? Not to certain about that one i'll have to look it up, good question though.
Generally the main reason archers are never deployed in full ranks is on the same level you shoot the first rank, on a hill 2 ranks shoot, so people will usually deploye 2x10 giving you a full volley of shots. I was under the impression that with the large target an additional rank may shoot. I may be incorrect so it'll be a good think for me to look up for myself.
