When your spawn in a firewyrm, they will target the nearest enemy it can see and use the breath attack on them every time in the shooitng phase (in unengaged). So, that being stated...
Does this mean they will fire across/graze friendly units in order to do so?
Does this mean they fire at the enemy even if they aren't in range (possibly hitting terrain, etc).
I think you will have to place the template in oder to hit the enemy, but also hit as less friendly models as possible. If that cant be avoided,(i.e your breathing between 2 friendly units) then youll just have to maximise enemy hits. Is the breat attack compulsry if possible? i didnt think it was.
I guess so, but the flame template will have little affect n terrain etc.
It IS compulsory, unfortunately, until the spawn is engaged in cc.
I'd say that you must breath flames through your units if you can see the enemy and burn them; but the trick is just not to let the spawn see the enemy, since it requires LoS and to be in range (i'm sure you can pre-measure, since the breath attack is compulsory)
It's better, it's shiny, it's warped...it's Chaos.
Don't forget that your own units block LOS.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
