Now that Drain magic is different for Highe elves than it is for Lizardmen, do Lizardmen use the High elf version? And if not, should lizardmen play high elves, whos version of drain magic is used?
Each army should use the rule as presented in their own army book. I'm not overly familiar with lizardmen, but I can't think offhand why each side couldn't use their own version.
Well they use to be same, they both use to discount certain numbers rolled when casting. Now the HE version has it where you need to cast on +3 the origonal cast value.
Each army will still use it's own version.
The Lizzie one is still better, but with the masters of magic you'd expect that.
As everyone has stated, both armies use the version presented in their respective army book.
