In the OK FAQ, it only states that ogre units (well, ironguts, but I'm thinking rhinox riders would get the same ruling) used as dogs of war, may choose a banner from the ogre kingdoms magic items list or the common magic items list.
For a high elf army though, the common magic items are cheaper. Would this mean if I were to put a warbanner on the rhinox riders hired as DoW in a HE army, it'd only cost me 20 points as it does not state which common magic items list?
I would say they pay the cost OK would. The High Elves aren't going to start lending out their beautifully woven banners to Ogres .

I agree with Rork. The Ogres would have their own warbanner, so they'll pay the price that Ogres normally do. If you think about it, allowing them to use the prices in the High Elf list would kind of imply that they could use the High Elf magic items too, which is obviously not going to happen!
Thou shalt remember:
Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.

The general "common sense" view would be that they use the items/selections/choices from their army book, so I'd agree with the view above. I don;t have the DoW rules in front of me, but I would expect them to say that all items etc are chosen from the original army list.
Which poses another question is the OK "common" war banner the same as the HE "common" war banner given the latter has a different points value (and if two things have different numbers they must be different)
