If anyone could clarify this for me it would be really appreciated, because i never
new how it exactly worked. Anyway so let's say something does d3 wounds, for
example my skaven jezzails(those amazing sniper guysXD). So i make the hit, now do i
roll 3 dice to wound but it only affects 1 target, or do i roll a dice, lets says i roll a 5,
divide that by 2(d3 so you divide by 2) which would be 2.5 and then round up so it would
be 3 wounds but still only affecting 1 target? Any info would awesome. Thankyou!
Sorry for the block of text
If a weapon causes D3 wounds then for every unsaved wound you roll a D3 to see how many wounds it causes. Multiple wounds are only effective against multi-wound models.
Roll to wound as normal. So for the jezzail you would normally need to roll a 2. If you successfully wound then roll another D6 for the number of wounds. 1-2=1, 3-4=2, 5-6=3. Just adds another step to the normal procedure for determining wounds. Only useful against multiple wound foes so if your target only has one wound you skip the last step.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Oh ok thanks guys that helps out a lot.
This is just an extra question and this seems to be the right place to put it.
If you regenerate, say a Hydra, how is this affected?
eg) Bolt thrower shoots Hydra, hit wounds and does 3 wounds. Does the regeneration get rolled once or once per wound?
Thanks a bunch for your help.
Once per wound - regenration is worked out on the number of wounds actually caused
Dovie'andi se tovya sagain (It's time to roll the dice)- Mattrim Cauthon
That makes sense and was what I expected cheers.
The above answer may seem a bit ambiguios. So regeneration is taken before you mutiply the number of wounds. If the Hydra fails its regenration then you can mutiply the wounds. Regeneration is similar to a ward save in this respect.
And another question! My friend wants know if you have to have you men in at least 2 ranks, so can he have his skeleton archers in 1 rank of 16?
