Maybe this is an easy question, but I didn't see the clarification anywhere, and searching didn't find this.
The scenario is an Undead unit beating another unit in combat. The other unit breaks and flees. Is the required leadership roll to avoid pursuing covered under ITP or not?
The only reason I ask is that a block of L3 troops without support from a hero is pretty much always going to fail this test, and it would be nice to know this before I need to know this
Unless there is a special rule for the unit in the army book, then they would have to pursue. ItP doesn't change this, so you would still have to make the leadership test to stay.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
I had assumed so, but I wanted to be sure. The BRB just says to avoid pursuit, make a leadership test. Wasn't sure what that covered.
As mentioned, ItP doesn't affect the normal pursuit circumstances. Just remember that Zombies (if your Undead are VC) have their own special rules about pursuing... and that units with hatred (varghulf, or vamp with infinite hatred) / frenzy (blood knights) must pursue.
