Ok, 2 situations came up that were very similar. First, my bolt thower could see blood knights barely, just around a forest. Now, I am in the flank of the unit but due to los I can barely see the front of a single guy. Do I get to shoot down the flank, or can I only shoot 1 guy? 2nd situation was I was being charged. I had a 2nd unit in front of me, so he couldn't charge my front, which he was clearly in, but he could get around and hit my flank. Does he get the flank charge because he can't get in my front, or is he unable to charge?
2nd question. I have a banner that lets me take 1 break test on 1 d6 once per game. If I need snake eyes to hold and I use the banner, do I need to roll a 1 or a 2, or does it not apply to that situation?
Yeah, bad explanation, sorry. Basically, I'm in the flank, but in order for the actual bolt to hit his flank, it would have to travel through the forest. If it were to travel to the point to where I can actually see the unit, then it would hit in the front. That seems like a strange setup, but I would say you can only hit the one guy if you can only see his front
There is a similar situation to this in the book. If you are in their flank arc and you have LOS to any part of the unit then you hit the unit in the flank. The book gives an example where the bolt thrower cannot even see the flank but since it is in the flank arc and can see some of the unit it gets a flank shot.First, my bolt thower could see blood knights barely, just around a forest. Now, I am in the flank of the unit but due to los I can barely see the front of a single guy. Do I get to shoot down the flank, or can I only shoot 1 guy?
Wow, I'm a dumbcrap. Can't believe I missed that. Thanks.
