Ok stick with me on this one.
Can you sacrifice your own models? Pretty much kill them off without enemy damage? I ask because for WoC it would be nice to have your dwarf crewmen off themselves so you can have your hellcannon rampage across the board in a very angry fashion.
I know the idea sounds odd but I cant find anything saying you can or cannot do it.
Why are you deliberately trying to bend the rules to secure yourself an unfair/unsporting advantage in the game? Its a game, its supposed to be fun. If you want to cheat the rules and spirit of the game, move to wall street and take up stock trading.
The helllcannon is a beast in combat and I was just trying to find if it was possible to use it as a pure combat unit. Its twice the points of other cannons held by other armies so Im not a huge fan of using it the same way other armies do for twice the points.
Thanks for the extremely rude replies
Not sure what you where expecting from such a question. Try to think of it in the fluff since. How many people will off themselves for the greater glory? Chaos Dwarfs who are hired mercs are not the type to do so.
"Ah, but the truth is like an expensive whore, Jerek. She comes in many dresses and will bend over for any with the money to pamper her." ~ Konrad von Carstein
Maybe see if you can find a way around it? Something that lets you target your own units with a magic missile or something? There are plenty of flaws in the new books, there must be one you can exploit..
It was an okay question but maybe someone could think it was a little misplaced. I believe rats are the only ones who can kill their own players off. For me sometimes I ask fun question because I do not what to cheat but I do not want to miss any advantage that might be there.
Well, you could have an exalted sorcerer with the lore of shadow hanging close and casting the #3 Spell (the one that hits friend and foe) continuously and hope for the randomizing of the hits to go mainly on the dwarfs.
Similarly with the #3 nurgle spell. But for that you'd have to have a enemy unit rather close by and hope for the scattering to hit your hellcannon.
Or Chariots. they cause impact hits if they flee through units. Position them carefully, get the enemy to charge your chariot which consequently flees and hopefully runs down the hellcannon handlers.
Although with those impact hits being strength5 you might end up crashing the hellcannon itself leaving some bewildered chaos dwarf behind.
But basically leaving the idea of killing your own models without comment
