I posted this same question before, but got no response what so ever. So I decides to test my luck, and try again. With a small change, this time not in the WE forums, but in the FB rules forums. So I hope this time I can get some answers from you.
So what is the question you wonder, right? Simple: Whats the minimum amount of points one should be able to field if one would want to play Mighty Empires? I mean, is a 1000pts battle normal for Mighty Empires, or is it more of an 2000pts game? I know that it depends on whom you are playing, and what happens on the field, but still...
So, again, What is the amount of points one should be able to field if one would want to play Mighty Empires?
PS: I ask this so that if I get the ME box, I dont have to wait before I can play
i allways wondered what the heck mighty empires is...
But im not gonna ask it. not me no

It's a campaign, so I doubt there's going to be any sort of minimum - you can choose how big or small you want the armies to be.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
I don't play the new rules, but I assume the same applies:
1. choose a starting size for the campaign
2. each 'year' you get to increase your army size, depending on what you have achieved that 'year'
Eg OLD ME RULES: We each started with 3000pts. I split my 3k into two forces: ~2k and ~1k. These forces could then go and explore in different directions across the map.
However, I don't know if the new rules allow multiple forces or just have one that can battle anywhere on the map.
I think the difference may be that in the OLD rules, the army moves about the map and battle when it meets other armies, but in the NEW rules, the players pick a tile to fight over, rather than moving across the map. But I might be entirely wrong.
As an aside, last campaign battle I broke down the door of the fortess, so this next battle I get to sustain my siege and try again, knowing that the door won't be an issue. I like campaigns - just wish there were more hours in the day!
Play the old rules that GW has on their site. You start off with random sized armies based on what territories you rolled. Some what unfair to some, but its more fun that way. Then you're allowed so many heroes based on how many cities/fortresses/villages you have. Then you break your total points allowed down into banners (armies). Each banner can't have more than 1500 points in it, but you can have multiple banners stacked to get more points into 1 force. You just have to make sure you have enough baggage to feed that many, since everything besides cities can only feed 1 banner.
Its not a real problem that in my current campaign we all have like 5 banners with between 1000-1500 points in each. The battles tend to be small and fast, so we do our turns and take an hour or so break while battle are fought than do more turns. It works out good. Our Ogre player lost before the end of season 1 to a skink horde. Rather funny, but ask yourself, how can ogres beat 100 skinks with poison attacks?
