I'm a bit confused, could some please tell me the right way to do this. To me its either:
1. You can shoot (even mormal missiles) at a mounted character in infantry but he gets a his 4-6 look out sir.
2. You can't specifically target a mounted character in infantry with missiles though if you hit him with a cannon or template weapon he gets a 4-6 look out sir.
A character on a mount is a different troop type than infantry. He will in no circumstance get a "Look out sir!" with infantry.
The 4-6 LoS rule is for lone characters near a friendly unit of the same type.
When shooting at an infantry unit with a cavalry character (or vice versa) then you divide the shots equally amongst the models (your choice)
p.s. This is where i know you from! =p
Warchief Diggah o da Bloodmoon Squiggahs
And if he is hit with a cannonball or template weapon, he is out of luck. He has to take the hit.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
I think he still takes Cannonballs to the face though. Against normal shooting you take troopers until you have to randomize and Bolt Throwers have a rule where it kills normals unless the unit is X models small. Stone Throwers and Cannons will snipe characters though, I think.
Correct me if I'm wrong. In any case, cavalry character with infantry is bad news bears.
Edit: Damn you Mod, posting while I'm posting! ;]
