Hi there, me again
Do thrown weapons have -1 for shooting at long range?
I would be pretty bad for throwing axes, 'cause they would have a short range of 3''...
Yep, thrown weapons suffer from long range penalties. They really suffer.
They are quik to fire though, so you can move your dwarf rangers ( yep, I know what you're talking about ) forward 3" and fire without moving penalty.
When using longbeard rangers you could give them the rune of slowness on their banner, so the enemy has a good chance of failing their charge and you stand & shoot on 6's, then you can either charge, or in your own turn move forward 3" and fire, giving you an effective range of 9", and hit on 4+ or 5+ depending on how far your opponent is. Then if they try to charge next turn, throw the throwing axes a third time as stand and shoot #2.
Yep, that's what I was talking about xD
Oh well, another disappointment...
