I played WFB in 5th & 6th edition, but skipped 7th. I'm quite familiar with how challenges used to work, but I can't find in the 8th Ed book where is says that the units do not fight.
The only thing I can find is where it says no other models may not attack the models in a challenge. I don't see where it says the units themselves don't fight.
I probably just missed it, so can someone point me to the right page? Or do units fight now even when characters/champions are in a challenge?
Did this change in 7th edition, or is this something unique to 8th?
Thanks for clearing this up for me either way!
It was never the case in any of the editions I have played (4+) that other models didn't fight. It is quite a common misconception, though.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
