Hey all- I'm going to organise a mini-tournament for my LGS and want to make sure I'm not setting myself up for trouble.
My plan is to allow 750pt lists (maybe 500), with the usual percentage restrictions on units/characters. I was also going to restrict specials/rares to 'no duplicates' (unless 2-for-1).
Apart from that, it's all open.
Can anyone think of any armies that will be crippled or need special rules changes to let them play on an even playing field? Any other useful ideas?
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
Here's a few
High elves have a different armysetup, i would say have an extra look at if they have enough rare choices/slots. Maybe 1 duplicate rare allowed, or maybe it wont matter on this armysize.
I think O&G have a huge advantage with these rules, allowing them still the use of 4 war machines and 4+ chariots (2 pump, a boar and a wolf, + any characters on chariots). Maybe restrict armies to field a max of 2 war machine slots and 3 chariots.
Tomb Kings are supposed to have both a Hierophant and a general. Thats like half your points allowance. Maybe allow armies to make the Hierophant a general?

Also, Bretonnia Also has a mandatory BSB, And a unit of knights of the realm. at 500 points you might want to drop the need for a BSB.
But why don't you say that everyone with a different army setup can contact you on precise rules?
Btw: how many entrants do you expect?
