Sorry if this is posted in the wrong thread but didnt know where else to post it.
I read on another forum that GW are realsing a magic boost and new monsters for all armies. Is this true ? I did a online search but could not find anything
I think this should be in the news and rumour thread.
But there isn't any 'proof'that GW is boosting magic and monsters.
But if you look at the new(ish) 8th ed books (Skaven, Beastmen, OnG and Tomb Kings) There definitely is a trend in the monsters and magic section.
It also seems that the amount of magic items is being reduced (OnG/TK both only have 8 items in their armybook).
This all is to aim the main focus of the game on a different target.
In 7th it was easier to let your enemy run from the battlefield.
Right now the focus is killing. Big blocks of infantry. Big monsters. Strong magic. Stronger shooting. Better leadership(BsB bubble).
This summer there is a "Storm of Magic" supplement coming out. It is supposed to have some new monsters and such. Sort of like an apocalypse add on for fantasy. Check out the rumour section for more info.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
citadel finecast comes the 28/5 (saturday) with alot of new minatures, they might release new monsters or they just release new cooler models
an army that seeks to fight without the protection of the eagle claws is clearly courageous or inept. either way, í wish no part in it - Eolaran Greyhawk, Seamaster.
As far as I've heard, Storm of Magic isn't bringing any new monsters. It is bringing new models for existing monsters that don't have them.
Regarding the other things SoM is supposed to include, I've heard rumours of a new lore and tweaks to the rules to make playing higher points games more managable.
